Speaking of HIV and what not in Russia, I have to ask this. A lot of you talk about the virtues of performing oral sex on the women you pay for. As a person who loves that to, I get why you would want to, and how it could make the women give better service in return.

However, aren't you afraid of getting HIV or some other STD from it. Last time I checked, you could contract HIV, genital herpes (aka Herpes type II), and gonorrhea from going down on a girl.

I only ask this because I'm genuinely curious about it. I've personally never performed on a working girl because I'm afraid of catching something. I'm not always sure if the people here are really brave, really stupid, more informed, just never thought about it, have enough medical knowledge to make a good guess, or any combination.

Sexymilky - you might check <GASP> Aeroflot for prices. They are generally much lower than the others (but you do have to take a little in stride) Non-stop, too (but goes to SVO - not exactly a garden spot)

Traveler - As to Ismailovsky Park and those hotels out there, though, since I'm usually going to Vernasage to import art/craft "stuff", it's easier than staying "downtown". Also, hotels like "Gamma/Delta" are about 800R (or they were recently) which is in the $30 range (Motel 6 quality). Add that to a metro multi trip card (stop is right outside the hotels), and you can get most anywhere except between 2am and 6am (might be 1am, didn't test the system last time)

<personal choice, though, I was thinking about getting an "apartment" next trip, assuming I don't go to Thailand instead)

You guys seem to be pretty chatty in Moscow.

I have a couple of questions for you. I am visiting Moscow and Russia for the first time for three weeks in Februrary, as was wondering if you could give me any tips. I tried looking through the previous reports to see what the sketch is, however, you guys have written so much in "local vocab" that I am none the wiser after reading it. After a rather nasty scuffle with a pimp and his gorilla in Budapest a few years ago, I like to plan ahead.

So could anybody please tell me briefly, where should the russian novice go? What can I expect to pay and recieve? Do's and don'ts? Potential problems with hotels?

Also the little Russian I learnt at school is exceptionally rusty; is this going to be a major problem? I speak German, but guess that won't help me at all?

I am busy with a Russian language course, but I'm a bit stuck at the moment. Have to find an incentive, thinking about those Russian girls just doesn't seem to do it. You can maybe get by with English, but you are much better off learning at least basic Russian. You can navigate a tochka with very basic Russian. Do a forum search and you'll find a lot of translations already done on this site.

Unprotected sex? Same story everywhere in the world. Russian roulette...or Forrest Gump's proverbial box of cookies.

Normal girls are like normal girls everywhere, most will be ok...some aren't. That's just a judgement call on your part. Non-pro Russian girls are not more endangered than European girls. I am repeatedly surprised by how LITTLE experience many cute normal Russian girls have...and it is not me being naive.

Unprotected sex with working girls? You are taking a chance that I wouldn't take. No matter how in love you "both" might be, she is boning different guys every day and if she does it without a condom with you, she will do it without a condom with somebody else too. Her hygiene might indicate that she is less likely to have certain STDs but it is no indication of HIV or other STDs.

HIV rates are rising fast in E.Europe, particularly due to heroin drug use. So I wouldn't take unnecessary chances if I were you.

BTW: Try finding a Russian girl on the pill, now that's a challenge!

Am I glad to have found this forum! I wish I'd found it before I went to Moscow last June though! I rented an apartment just round the corner of Night Flight and went there 3 times, paid about 300 dollars for 2 hours though. Also ordered an escort who was friendly enough to help me around Moscow. sexymiky... Izmailova is so far out... It's a good place to go to the Russian flea market, but I personally could not recommend a hotel so far out from the center because it is a hassle to get to and from any of the action. If you factor two round trips a day, $20, plus the $50, you might as well rent an apartment for $75 per day in the center. Of course, you could always take the metro, but it really takes a chunk of time out of your day(or night).

The security guys didn't mind you bringing girls? I'm surprised that you didn't have to give them some cash to make that happen, especially if they are running their own girls.
