Average costs:

Entrance fee: $25
*You can avoid the entrance fee by telling the bouncers (face control) that you are going to the restaurant. You will be escorted up to the restaurant by a cute girl (unavailable, as are all the waitresses). The restaurant is separate from the bar/disco area, so there is no way to say you are going to the restaurant to avoid paying the entrance fee and then just go to the bar. * I recall the NF special, which consists of an appetizer, an entree and a dessert, costing about $30 sans drinks. The special is quite tasty, but not really large portioned. Ordering entree and appetizers separately will cost about $40.
** Drinks: Whiskey can be expensive, although Jack not as pricey as Scotch. Expect to pay about $10-12 a straight/mixed drink/cocktail. Beer is about $5. Cognac about $20 if memory serves. The prices at the bar are about the same.

The girls:
* Expect to pay between $200-300 depending on the girl and her mood/market value, amount of action that night, your vibe with her etc. This should buy you 3 hours at least. If overnight is important, I would suggest making this part of the deal. You still shouldn't pay more than $300 though.
** The girls will likely ask for more, but $250 should get you just about any girl in the joint. Some girls will try to jet after one round, but at those prices make her stay for longer. Again, if overnight is your preference, make this part of the deal before leaving with her. Money changes hands at your apartment/hotel, not in the club.
*** Oddly enough, the more expensive pros can often be the laziest performance wise. This isn't always the case, but the following should definitely be in the price as standard: DFK, BBBJ, DATY, FS as often as you can. Other things like anal are not standard. Some girls will, some girls won't, but most will want an extra $50-100 for the pleasure if they do it at all.

hrc is on the stary arbat, which is the old arbat and is closed to autos. it is a tourist mecca. hrc is at the end near the mcdonalds and very close to the garden ring near the stalin skyscraper, ministry of foreign(or internal) affairs. best metro is smolenskaya and not arbatskaya.

true doug is the managing partner, but i can tell you exactly what he will say about the cf "security charge"... in the past, it was he is going out of his way to stop it. now, he is pretty much given up hope of stopping it. he fired most of his security staff and it still went on.

I believe hrc means Hard Rock Café in Moscow, it’s on one of the Arbats streets. I’d heed CT’s advice though, even on weekends Hard Cock dies before any other hot night spots start. It’s sometimes fruitful to hit hrc on weekends well before midnight, the catch there may pleasantly negate the need for further fishing in the wee hours of the morning.

Your take is pretty close to mine, although I usually had the massively portioned nacho plate and somehow always end up there during happy hour (I think 6-9pm) with the 2for1s on cocktails and brew. Together with BoarHouse, the cheapest get drunk quick joint in town.

Nonetheless, I was never a HR fan, but inexplicably do seem to end up there fairly often with dates... it is kind of a failsafe when you don't know where to go or where to meet someone. Especially Oblast girls get a kick out of it, they get all big-eyed and happy.

Skank, as you know I have been going there since it opened about a year ago. We havent really posted much on the Hard Rock before, but heres my take.

Doug can often be seen in the downstairs bar holding court. Food is not too bad - reasonably western, though it still suffers from the Moscow classic - They serve Caesar salads with tomatoes. I know Russian LOVE tomatoes, but this gets on my nerves. Phlegmatic Dog has the same tomatoised version of a Caesar.

Its not cheap but not ridiculous. Cocktails around 200 rubs a pop and Corona about 120. I kinda like the 2nd floor bar / disco area. I have always done well there. Unless the dyevs are clearly in a group of locals out to try western food and towers of beer, then they are there to meet a western wallet. Sending over a drink to a pretty dyev has got me laid a couple of times there, and for the $4 price of a pina colada, thats pretty cheap filth. I havent been recently, but dyevs tended to be middle class and 30 ish (out with the girls crowd), thought the send-a-cocktail strategy works best on the 18-21 ish lower class dyevs (the show me a western cock n wallet crowd) that can also be found there.
