I am Turk,but mostly live in US. Some of the Russians don't like Turks because of various reasons. But they love to come to Turkish coastline for holidays.

I grow up and live like american; most of the time people tink I am Italian or Greek.) I am not dark-skinned like Kurds or Arabs.

Global terror and Cehcnya cause lot of safety trouble.

I waited extra 10 minutes at the customs and passport check, just because I am Turk. Nationality and the place you come from is important only at the passport check.

As long as you do not act weird or suspicious, you don't need to fear from militia. I just passed next to the militis at the metro stations and elsewhere. Even I asked directions at the Red Square(you should not do that).

As long as you have your documents and proper registration, you don't need to worry about militia.

The only way to avoid being in the eyes of militia are with a women , as simple as that, when ever you go out, be with a women always, if something happens, she would do the talking, when you got to change the women, just do it inside, and come out every were, whenever with a women or may be with two women when you go out for shopping or sight seeing, that way you will look more cool and less threatning, when you go out with your buddies of same color and with russian dudes, thats more suspicious to them naturally.

Passports: nationality doesn't matter as long as your registration is ok.

Not that much has changed in the last 18 months aside from the increased militia checks around metro etc., lower tochka quality and price "confusion" at CF... so I don't see why you shouldn't come.... and it sounds like you have a dozen or so future "brides" waiting anxiously for you... don't make them wait too long, it's cold in Moscow and they are lonely...

I'm going to have to invite you my doctor friend for drinks. I'll be staying either at the Sheraton Tverskaya or at the apartments of CA. I always used to stay at the sheraton and walk to the pyramid in the morning. At night, i'm roaming the streets between Crystal (the largest Casino in Europe), Metalitsia, CF, Night Flight and/or Karma bar. I always have a couple of free chicks from bride.ru or omen.ru for mornings, but at night i'm hanging out on my own being BAD. I also LOVE oh la la!!! I love platfrom high heels Sometimes, i pass by Safari lounge. I've taken the underground only once. I look very Greek. That could be ARAB or ISRAELI as well. I get checked for both nationalities in my travel in the Middle East and Southern Europe(area of coverage for my companuy). But my Greek passport and/or Canadian passport as well as my tastly chosen business attire tend to protect me from any harrasment. Do you think i can be harrassed by the militia having these passports on me?

I've taken the metro once and usually i'm using the cabs hanging out infront of the hotels. Then again, you guys can hang out with me

If being harranssed, can calling the embassy work?

I am not speaking from personal experience as I am white, but in the last few months I have seen dark-skinned (especially Arab-looking) men and women be stopped and checked by the militia everywhere. Considering what has been going on in the last few months and years, I am happy to see it... even though I doubt that such random checks could stop a determined and clever terrorist. Nice to note that my favorite cafe, Mon Cafe on Tverskaya, even has its own personal militia guard since the Chechens tried to blow it up a year ago...

In any case, the current situation could be a hassle for dark-skinned guys, but doesn't have to be unbearably. If you do go, I'd suggest to never take the metro, avoid loitering around public or government buildings, dress nicely and if possible, don't go out alone.

Gentlemen,

Reading the postings in exile.ru got me little worried. The claim is that police will detain anybody with dark caucasian features. I'm half Greek, half Canadian, but look anything from Greek to Israeli to Arab, 38 years old. Will i have problems in Moscow with the hightened alerts? Please note that i've been to Moscow three times so far but non in the last 18 month. I'm well dressed, and always stay at descent hotels. Please advise.

I agree that once outside of Moscow the girls literally attach themselves to you because you are a foreigner (dont give them your # if you have one). This was my experience in a few of the smaller cities over the summer. Admittedly I am a student myself and speak decent russian so I think that made it quite easy to find eager 17 year olds (not being arrogant here just realistic). However from what I saw I imagine that with a little bit of russian some enthousiasm no western guy need pay anything for sex once outside moskva/pitr, unless you dont like / cant be bothered with a bit of a chase beforehand. Just go out to the best nightclub in town which will still be cheaper than crap places in moscow and safer as some of the crappier places in the provinces feel a bit dodgy, and simply approach girls. In the summer there might not be as many students around, as like everywhere they go home or on holiday (ie Crimea or Turkey).

It would be the wisest to contact via the free sites with a natural selection of those who are fluent in English and who are not aware of the corrupt situation in large cities like Moscow....

2nd day

Went to sleep at 6am and by the time I woke up it was 4pm an sun was going down. Walked around Tverskaya a little. Picked up the ticket I purchased online from Bolshoi box office, then headed to NF again for dinner.

When I finally hit the NF bar area after 3hr dinner and wine, bar area was again full of beautiful girls despite the fact it is Sunday night. Although there were many 8 and up quality girls, quality overall seems to have gone down since last visit. I actually ran into girl I hired for 2days as tour guide and translator on last visit. She immediately recognized me and came over. Talked to her for a while, but I was interested in trying new girl, and I moved on. Saw this 21y.o. beautiful tall, slim blond. Her english was adequate but far from fluent. Conversation was bit limited, but I decided to take her home in the end. Again settled on $250 for 3 hrs. She did put on the spirited performance.

Again at around 1:30 AM, got into cab and headed to CF. Three girls who were hanging out in the bar area grabbed me as I was walking by, and we started talking. Prabably 7-8 in looks. They said they are students studying Economics at Moscow university. Again chit chatted for a while, danced, and drank until 5am. They gave me cell # and wanted to meet up next day, but no hint at action same night. At this point I am really start to think, I must be doing something wrong. How could it be that every girl so far I hit up in CF, be a student and not a pro or semi pro. Anyhow I didn't bother calling them next day since I had date set up with gorgeous blond I met the night before. They SMS'ed me several times and I just ignored it.

Day 3

Not much else to report. Had the date with blond I met at CF. Ballet was world class as I knew it would be. Dinner at Pushkin was ok. Freebie action at CA traveler's apartment, priceless.

I have lived and worked in Moscow for five years and speak Russian (almost) fluently.

Can't agree at all with CF. Avoid the place most of the time. The chances of finding a freebie 8+ there is next to impossible and has been for some years - thats why I don't go anymore.

As for hos. The average ho at CF is a 7 and asking $150 - laughable. Back in '99 it was $50-100 absolute max and some 8's. Problem is too many stupid cash loaded hormone loaded tourists. From what I hear the turnover of girls is low (In fact I visit the place 2-3 times a year and saw the same girls there. Scary)

I'd visit CF once if you are planning a trip to Moscow, or should I call it Doug's Boar house (not that Doug is there very often nowadays and Marty left under apparently acrimonous circumstances).

You can in-call a girl for $100 and many are 8, some higher from the net. Many are well groomed, presentable, and open to suggestion. They are also in the game out of pure choice (had an interesting talk with a women who runs one of the more popular russian sites).

Tochka girls are generally very desperate girls, and often abused, physically and mentally, in Moscow illegally and live in conditions that would scare a lot of you, depending on your morality you might avoid them. Prostitution of this kind breaks my heart.

Better advice still is to avoid Moscow. Freebies in places like Yaroslavl, Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod and even Tula - where you can find freebie 8+ stunning student chicks who speak fluent english - are where the real action is at.

Would like to hear more details about that; which vokzal, ticket prices, timetables, etc. Also, where do you stay when you're there? And, of course, what are your favorite fishing holes?

Just got back from 1wk trip to Moscow followed by Prague.

Trip started out rocky but once arrived in Moscow, it was all worthied. My flight out of JFK was cancelled due to Volcanic activity in Iceland and I was grounded in NY for two more days. Finally got to Moscow 2days later. Had to make several phone calls to rearrange the trip including Hotel and transportation.

I stayed at CA traveler's apartment for 5 days and Marriot Grand for final 2days. CA traveler's apartment was excellent value as other members posted peviously. As others have noted, common area of the apartment leaves something to be desired, but apartment itself was tastfully decorated, and cannot beat the privacy and convience. I will take 5 days at CA traveler's apt for $600 compared to 2 days I spent in Marriot for $900 anyday.

Day 1

Checked into apartment at 11:30 am. Took a nap. changed money. Then headed to NF for dinner. Food was excellent. Tried Le Duc, Bulvar, and Pushkin cafe on previous trips, the supposedly the best restraunts in Moscow. But for me, the food at NF seems to be better than those restraunts and price is very reasonable for the quality of food and wine selection.

Went down to bar area around 11pm. Area was filled with girls. Not surprising given the fact it is Saterday. Two girls in particular caught my eye. First, a tall brunett with knockout body and model face. But as I was working my way toward her, a innocent looking blond stopped in my track. I bought her a drink. Had some friendly chit chat then down to negotiation. When I asked the price, she said $250 for 3hrs, and I didn't bother with counter offer.

Sex was nothing to cry home about, but there is something special about pounding a gorgious girl as she squirms under you with pleasure.

At 2am, after I let her go, got into cab and headed to CF. Place was still rocking. Even though it is my second trip, I still have such a difficulty telling who is working and who is a college student out for fun. CA traveler was back in states for visa reasons and I was on my own without his guidance. Hit up with 20y.o beautiful Uzbek girl. had good conversation and dance but she acted as if she is a student and set up a date with me and gave me the cell #, but never hinted at working in the club and I didn't want to ask straight out and possibly making a ass out of myself. In the end went home empty handed but didn't care due to the fact that I had earlier release with the NF girl. Two days later though, I did call the Uzbek girl and went to Ballet at Bolshoi theater with her, dinner at Pushkin cafe, the short walk over to the Apartment and nice freebie action. All in all much more of GFE that I was looking for in Moscow.

I'll post a more detailed Moscow Oblast report later (busy working this Saturday evening in a snow filled freezing cold Moscow) - I'm tempted to go out - but I know I'll hang out till 3-4+ in the morning and feel like sh*t tomorrow... and I wanna enjoy my first Sunday off in a few months.

My haunts in Moscow usually are: Territoriya, Karma, Prop, Voodoo sometimes albion and a few more obscure (Russian) haunts, although places like territoriya are also mostly russian as you probably know, don't need to tell you guys.

I'm no Brad Pitt, average looking early 30's. However girls outside of moscow often glue themselves to you as you are "different" and they don't see that often, they are not anywhere as ruthless or sophisticated as in Moscow. Many good weekend trips away from moscow, tula and Nizhny (overnight sleeper) are good places to start. I'll prepare a more detailed report next week if its any help

My two bits..

As mentioned before, CF…Chesterfields, Doug and Marty’s Boar House.. The Black Hole.. has been much maligned as of late.

If you catch CF on an average day, you’ll quickly understand why it has been maligned. It definitely can turn one off.

At its worse slovenly expats slobbering all over aging attitude-laden overpriced pros.

On days like that your best bet is to leave before even ordering a beer. About half of the time I go to CF I stay less than 30 minutes and move on to other options. You usually can recognize quickly if it is worth staying. So far, Rogue Trooper and I agree.

However just when I am about to write off CF and swear never to return, something really great happens to me.

An amazing pro. Some of my best pro experiences began with a “privet” at CF and ended with amazing service, pics and video at home. For $100. This price hasn’t changed since 2000.

A freebie. I know it isn’t common at CF, but I have been very lucky there. Very much so.

On most days the chances of scoring a freebie at CF are slim... on most days after midnight 90% of the girls are pros. But on Thursdays and occasional weekend nights you can score 7s and 8s… and I am just fine with that. CF is not a club to be compared to the other clubs that are often mentioned here, not to mention the dozens upon dozens of clubs that exist outside expat circles. It is its own entity. It isn’t sexy. It isn’t sultry. It’s just CF. But yes, it is possible to take home non-pro 8s for free on rare occasions. Happened to me fairly often, all on Thursday or Friday if memory serves. In every case I left CF with them relatively early to either go to another club or home. I maintain that it is always worth checking out… and on Thursday it is one of the more happening places at 10-11 as the non-pros get loaded on cheap alk. If I can score non-pro 8’s on lucky nights, well then other guys can too. Sometimes you’ll have to hit 3-4 clubs in Moscow to find the one that really hits your vibe on a particular night.

8+s and 9s? No, you won’t find them at CF often, pro or otherwise. But scoring an 8+ or 9 freebie anywhere in Moscow is not easy. At least not for me. Or maybe I am just lazy.

Back in ’99.. I lament it too… but it ain’t ’99 anymore. It’s 2004. So let’s talk about today.

The regulars there should generally be avoided. They are often jaded and overpriced and lack passion. New girls show up all the time though. I agree that the quality rarely exceeds a 7, but you can find 8s there and the rare 8+. It takes a little luck and some intelligent shopping. And if you see her, go for it before someone else latches on. If you spend a lot of time in Moscow, the $100 CF girl easily becomes a $50 option for an hour or two during a lazy afternoon.

Yeah, everybody should do so and form their own opinion. Some will despise the place, some will love it and some will, like me, check it out every so often as one of Moscow’s many options.

Many mongerers can’t master the language barrier. Most internet pros don’t speak enough English to set up the deal. Beyond that, for me personally, ordering from the net takes absolutely all of the sport out of it. I’d rather go to CF, NF, tochka or a normal club and look at the menu rather than just browse websites. That’s just me though.

Judgement call. My only problem with tochka lately is that the physical quality is average to atrocious and the price for decent quality has skyrocketed. Morality issues… up to the individual. I don’t recall ever having a truly jaded tochka pro though. In my experience they are often the most lively and fun performers. Militia hassle can be a real drag. But yeah, tochka is bottom of the totem pole in terms of pro action. It is uniquely Moscow though, and like CF, it deserves a look. I haven’t been in several months, am interested to hear what others say about the quality. My last impression was that $150 bought you a 7 at best and that $100 was a 5 or 6. Not worth it. That was on the weekend though, maybe weekdays are better.

Not a practical option for most mongers. BTW, where do you stay in the regions? Always in hotels? Russian or Western? Security probs? My limited experience in regional cities confirms what you say. Nonetheless, there is no city in Russia with the sheer volume of collected beauty, excellent clubs and atmosphere that compares to Moscow.
