Learn to use the metro. In one week I calculated I saved almost $1000 in taxi fees with a 50 pass metro car. Metro is $0.25 (cents) from any metro to any other metro station. You buy a $10 card that will last you almost two weeks(50 passes). Metro closes at 1AM, opens at 6am.

Russia is the best bar none, if you only go for the 10's. Prague/Rio De Janeiro/Thailand are other great cities, but Moscow beats any city handily. The quality and quantity of beauties is simply amazing.

RF... please take this for what it is worth... Having a guide/translator is a personal preference which I won't comment on. However, you must understand that a guide from Cameroon, while he may be a great guy and do his job very well, you will be restricting your activities to places where he feels comfortable. You may not realize it, but Russia is a very racist country and you could quickly find yourself in a situation that is hard to get out of.

Remember... Unless you were born and grew up in Russia, the only Russian experts are those are those who have been there for two weeks or 20 years!

It is very easy to think that someone who seems like they know a lot about Russia... to really not know anything! AND... I include myself and most of my Expat friends in the same category.

I am new in Moscow and have since been a regular reader of this site which has some really great and very practical info, thanks everybody. I now feel the urge to contribute something myself.

If like me, you are new to Moscow and maybe a little uncertain about venturing out at night alone, I can recommend using a specialist guide which has worked very well for me. I had the good fortune to meet a guy who has been of great help. He is originally from the Cameroon but has been in Moscow a while and speaks good Russian, also perfect English and French. He has already taken me out to a number of clubs and I found him to be well organised, reliable and very honest. He worked for a night club here and I know he has taken business men around the night spots many times so has real insider knowledge. He also has real ability to charm the women here so he is a great asset for any night out !

I like this guy personally and he could do with a little business hence my motivation to promote him like this. By Western standards, he charges very little, so if anybody is interesting in using him as a guide, please PM me and I will provide his contact details. Hope this is useful, enjoy Moscow !

I just had a good night with 2 of Victoria's girls at Hotel Rossiya.

Victoria really helped with telling me the procedure to have the girls register at security and escort them to and from the room. It just has to be done before about 10pm. The security lady seems bored with the process, but she did want to see my passport and the girls passports. The they were given passes and no problem.

Both ladies spoke some English and were as friendly as renewing a friendship with a good girlfriend you had not seen for a few months.

It was a spur of the moment call and Victoria sent them in less than an hour.

I look forward to calling Victoria next visit to Moscow.
