The single biggest misconception western guys have on their first visit to Moscow is that chicks want to get a green card and live in Buttfu@k Iowa in a suburban home being a housewife. Like CAT said, maybe some peasant girl from the Urals or from Ukraine on a dating site might think like that, but there are more available guys with available cash in Moscow than anywhere. And I mean ANYWHERE ... including London or New York. Money doesnt impress Moscow chicks (Been saying that on this board for years) ... most of the good looking ones over 20 - 21 have already dated local guys far richer than you or I will ever be.

Moscow girls are still s-l-u-t-tier than western girls and even though that gap is narrowing every month (tragically), the attraction is still in the way they dress, the way they move, the way they shag. As for the girls, they dont automatically go for a guy simply because he is a westerner. You have to offer them something. You cant just wave a passport at them. You have to be charming, funny, stylish, to get them to bite. There is far more of a "game" feel to it here ... going out meeting women is like being on a hunt. You have to understand their psychology to do well. You have to get inside their heads.

But if you think Moscow girls want a green card, then you are a thousand miles away from understanding them.

G#2... Now that I have answered your more direct questions, I will humbly attempt to address the comments in your second re-dress of 109...

First of all, as you state, there are ugly women in every country, just as there are beautiful women in every country. IMHO, there happen to be a far higher percentage of beautiful women in Russia/FSU countries, both in looks and body structure, i.e. slim instead of fat, than there are in most Western countries.

Of course, that said, you/we must always remember that "one person's trash is another person's treasure!" So, just because we may not find a photo particularily attractive, it could be that the photographer is just terrible, as in my case, or that the lighting was bad, OR that we just would not personally find the girl attractive, but it doesn't really matter to anyone other than the one doing the poking... right? I know for a fact that I have in the past after a hard night of drinking and wh*ring only to wake up and look over and ask myself some very serious life altering questions! That has probably never happened to you, but maybe in a few more years...

At the same time, I do happen to agree with you 110% that I personally prefer quality over quanity!

OTOH, I do not think it is fair for you to criticize 109 or anyone who chooses to protect the identity of a working girl by giving them the blue dot treatment. I would prefer to see the faces, but there have been enough reports that a few stupid fools have gone on this site and others to show the girls their photos, which of course the girls immediately recognize the photo and then the next time the photographer shows up every girl in the place will know that he posted a private photo on the internet... It doesn't take long before your reputation is ruined and you find it very difficult to take any more photos... even if you don't plan to post them.

That said, although you may not have meant it to be as harsh as it sounded, I also find it offensive for you to accuse 109 of having no confidence because he gave the blue dot treatment to the girls and happens to spend a little more cash than may have been necessary. 1. First of all, just because he speaks fluent Russian, please do not think that the Russian girls are stupid enough not to recognize that he is a Westerner who just happens to speak Russian. Russian's in general take great pride in their country and their language. Trust me, even with my backwoods culture, to recognize that Russian girls respect the fact that an English-speaking native has taken the time to learn their language. I am studying Russian and I have friends who study several hours per day with individual instructors, but I guarantee you that I/they will never be able to speak like a Russian or even Eastern European.

In addition, I do not doubt for a second that as a Russian speaker, you could score almost at will in many clubs... AND I say that not as a 20-30 something Brad Pitt look-alike, but as a mid-50's guy who can shuck and jive a little, but not much more. However, just as you questioned... you had better show that you are confident and self-assured or you will definitely have a rough time. YOU are expected to make the first move.
