You're arguing why the dollar is weak and I'm arguing why CF dievushki aren't presently cheap, two different arguments. You're not the only one who's aware the Bush administration is trying to export its way out of a stale economy and force the consumer to buy American. You can't however maintain a weak dollar policy forever, no foreign institutional investor, or a pegged country would tolerate his or its dollar-denominated assets vanishing on paper or real-time. And this is regardless how cheap and attractive said assets were purchased in the first place. It's a medium term measure to achieve an economic end.

Take the European constitution for example, if the French vote on 29 May to reject it through the scheduled referendum, it's the Euro that'll go into a tailspin not the dollar. So here's a "mysterious" political force for ya rather than economical. And signs are the French aren't very enthused about the European constitution and will vote no. The market, political and global forces are inclined against Bush's weak dollar policy, a weak dollar is a destabilizing global factor, so Treasury won't be able to direct it indefinitely. The tell tales signs of that are beginning to emerge, it was at 1.36 weeks ago and now it's around 1.29 vs. the Euro.

So I won’t resign myself and surrender to the $200 CF hike, it’s not here to stay, the dievushki have another thing comin’ and comin’ soon, better days are in store for us, not them.

The US is an empire now, and sooner rather than later it will revert to the belief that a strong dollar is the emblem of its prestige and affordable whoring.

but the Euro is a new phenomenon that has NO historical perspective
comparisons. If the US government wanted the dollar's value to rise,
I'm sure they have methods to influence that. Same story for what
its doing now, its no accident. In fact, it is one of the current Bush
administration's major unspoken foreign/fiscal policies.

So don't wait around to see it reverse itself by mysterious market forces.
You can be sure there are plenty of Bush's friends getting very rich due

I guess it would be a mistake to completely rule out demand Doc. So now if only we can get rid of the gullibility and nonchalance of westerners who frequent CF.

I know exactly what you mean when you stress your refusal to go along with CF’s unwarranted hikes. Most expat Russian veterans feel that way, they know all about CF’s history and the dievushki who apply the trade there.

It’s the new comers who see it as an express hookers ATM if you will, get in a cab, say CF, get in without a cover and dress code, speak English to a floozy and off you go with little questions asked about pricing. Is it the point of no return though? Business cycles should prove not, we all hope at least.

well i think the main problem is that you guys see the old situation as the status quo, whereas in reality it was a fluke, a once in a million freak occurence. the very basic fact at the root of the whole thing is, no girl in moscow has to bend over backwards and work all night long in order to make a hundred bucks. they can work much less, and earn much more. once this realization has occured, the simple fact is that there's no going back. situation is continuing to stabilize in regards to the services and prices, and save for some force majeure of globabl proportions nothing can bring back the good old days.

Of course you are absolutely right about the weak dollar being a major factor in the price hike. I can accept that.. although American, lucky me earns Euros... so I guess I shouldnt be bitching.

But I still cant help being cheap when shopping at CF. It's like if McDonalds came up with a $10 Super Big Mac... I just couldnt bring myself to buy it. I'll buy a $10 burger if its really good... but not at McDonalds served in a paper wrapper. So if I am paying $200 I might as well drop $250+ at NF or Shandra and at least pretend to be a decadent minigarch for a night.

Supply and demand isnt totally out of the picture as a factor in the CF price situation however, as many girls went from charging $100 to $200 "overnight" and were surprised to learn that the CF crowd would pay it. I met seriously homely wenches at CF who I wouldnt have paid for sex at any price but who still wouldnt budge from $200... citing excuses like "I made $300 a night last summer in Malaga".

Whatever the reasons I dont feel one bit sorry for any CF pro that goes home without scoring.

The price of CF chicks didn’t go up cuz of supply and demand, it went up because the US dollar is in a tailspin and the Ruble is near all time highs. To give the latter more credibility, one is able to notice that Russian internet hookers’ rates have in fact decreased in the last year or so. Look at Big Bro Aj’s net chicks, when was the last time you were able to pork a decent internet looker for $50 - $70 an hour and $100 - $150 all nighter? During the bubble and depression of the late 90s.

Perhaps I sounded like I was moaning... I probably was... but I dont misunderstand the situation. Its simple economics. I know that as demand goes up and the girls realize that thez can get $200+, they will go for it. I would to.

Nor do I blame anybody for paying too much... no single guy ruined the market.. the market has its own dynamics, we are all along for the ride.

However a market can overheat and the minimarket of CF has overheated. It was always a place for a bargain fuck and should never have aspired to be a second rate or even third rate NF. It was its own anomaly. Perhaps CF or the girls misunderstood this.

Or perhaps the bargain "take home" market has disappeared completely.

In any case, if I am going to pay $200, it isnt going to be at CF.

You posted as I was typing up my other reply. I think you completely misunderstand the situation. Of course it's the matter of supply and demand, and it's perfectly natural for prices to go up and for quality to go down if the demand continues to grow. It's not bad or good, it's natural.

And the girls at CF didn't get picked up because they didn't offer good services - it's because nobody was looking for those services. If my two friends got approached a lot but couldn't make a deal, that'd be one thing. They however didn't even get anybody try to make a deal with them in two hours. They just stood there trying to make eye contact with absolutely no result. Men just don't seem to go to CF looking for action anymore.

Of course there's nothing wrong with wanting a night of wild sex with a model for $100, but you've gotta be realistic. Things are what they are, and it's way beyond our ability to change them. Not just you and me, even if every single WSG reader got together and started a political campaign with TV ads and nightly pickets, we still wouldn't be able to affect the situation. There's no use in moaning and remembering the good old days. You gotta adapt to the ever changing world around you. Things will always remain in motion.

I know quite a few CF girls go to NF. The rest of them - no idea. NightFlight has always been a kind of a valhalla for CF girls though. I've gotten to know several CF girls pretty well over the past couple of years, and they all view it as the ultimate job for a working girl. All sorts of tall tales go about it among the CF demographic, they fear it as much as they desire it. Apparently a couple of CF girls recently got turned away by NF security the first time they tried to go there, and now everybody at CF is scared to try converting because they don't think they're classy enough. The whole thing is really very amusing.

But in any case, all these CF girls see NF as 'that place where men pay $500 a fuck' so it's really more sad than amusing. Lower prices virtually disappear, and $500 gets quoted there left and right nowadays. It might just be that CF isn't migrating, it's completley disappearing, and soon there just won't be a cheaper friendlier alternative. From a girl's point of view, if they can do a NF type of business, there's just no reason to try to do it CF style.

Incidentally, I went to NF tonight, and it was buyer's market. Lots of girls, few guys. A very high number of Asian girls also for some reason. I had one of the highest approach-per-minute ratios by a lot of nice options; but I kept waiting for a knock-out. The girl I liked the most got intercepted by some bald dude who chatted with her for an eternity. and I almost decided to give up and go for my second choice, but then the dude walked away and I grabbed the girl after all. $500 of course - very tall brunette named Alina with very well crafted C cups that almost felt real. Why is CF continuing its downward spiral?

Well beyond the fact that most of our countrymen (and I mean all countries) are fairly clueless, the best girls there all want $200 and you have to make a real effort to find something good for $150 let alone $100. Can be done, but who really likes to argue over price with these girls? Once you've started haggling over price any "romance" is certainly out of the game. For a $200 score you might as well go to NF or take a top broad from the internet or a salon... I am sure the regulars you talked to that couldnt get picked also wanted $200 for 3-4 hours... and CBJ if they could get away with it. Serves them right for going home alone... but still wont change the fact that there is little (or nothing) on the menu at CF for a Ben Franklin. It isnt about being cheap, it is about principal and as soon as the price tag gets to high it is about exploitation... and we are being exploited. Who's fucking who? I prefer to be in the driver's seat.

...CF was once a beautiful thing... for the girls as well... but they've priced themselves out of the game. Will prices return to normal... do prices ever go back down?

CF remains hit and miss... with more misses than hits these days. I still go occasionally and hope for the best, but hope is waning.

Beyond that (and demonstrated in detail by recent posts) there are plenty of guys willing to spend $400-500 for a single night of sex... which girl wouldn't prefer that as opposed to a $100 score? So even the average girls end up working from the internet, at expensive clubs like NF, Metallitsa, Shandra. Safari etc. The bargain score in Moscow seems to be a rare commodity with salons being the best bet. Every great girl I've ever had from CF was a one shot deal... I never saw them again. No idea. Was my first time there.
