First of all, what's icq? How does it work and how do you find chica's with it?

I will be in Mother Russia from the 25th through the 1st. Now that CAT has sold his biz, where is a similar place to obtain loging? CAT told me that he had sold his biz to another American but I haven't been able to find it. I think the web site name must of changed. I've been using icq for almost 10 years now, and it has always been a good way to get 2 or 3 easy dates. I think we discussed it on here a long time ago -- when I hit Moscow, I like to take a few girls out legitimately, some coffee, a dinner, a movie. Usually on the 2nd or at most 3rd date you are banging her brains out either in her flat or yours. Recently I was on icq and a girl contacted me. We started chatting. I've been using icq to improve my Russian, however she wanted to write in English. I didnt mind chatting in English though and thought it might be fun to flirt with her.

Anyway, the converstion was interesting as essentially we wrote about sex, her desire to get diamonds from guys in return for submissive, dirty sex. I liked the sound of it, except for the diamonds part. About one week later I had returned home and checked my icq again. During the week she hadnt called me or attempted to contact me, but upon my return home I noticed that she had written me on icq saying that "it was a good thing we didnt meet, as she had since gone to the doctor and received a bad result" and that "she was doomed."

I have been since writing her fairly regularly and it is apparent that she has AIDS. She doesn't know where she got it and said it was "impossible to know". I asked her where she met guys and she said "clubs and internet". I have yet to find out which clubs. She wouldnt say if she prostituted herself but I am sure she was an opportunist in this regard. I also dont yet know who her main clientel was.

I think the story speaks for itself, so be careful out there.

there is no problem getting additional guests in any Marriot hotel in Moscow.
Only problem perhaps the famous walk of shame .........

My recomendation is the BUDAPEST hotel. Is just some footsteps away from Karma bar, Paris life and many restaurants and pups around there.

I will be going to Moscow for a week in late March (28th) until early April. My host recommended the Moscow Marriott Tverskaya Hotel. Does anyone have any experience with this hotel? Can I bring "guests" to my room? Is there a better choice that is a fairly nice business hotel?

This is my first trip to Russia, I speak no Russian and am not sure how much I will be able to get away from my "hosts". Is there any action close to the Marriott? How many problems am I going to run into?

according to my little knowledge of Moscow I would never stay in the Rossija hotel again.

Only way to get a girl in, is to register her on the main desk where usally young beauties are working.
If you have no problem with that work of shame and the cost for an additional room, it could work.

As I use to have a lot of friends in the big M. this fucking place and all other hotels are not working for me, I need a place where I'm able to invite my friends for a drink and also a afternoon date.........

The Rossia Hotel generally speaking can also be intresting. As you perhaps know all "soviet" standard hotel have very different types of rooms (with price diffrence) from ugly and dirty to nice junior suites completly renovated with cable TV, bar, hot water dispenser for tea, Internet plugs and so on.

On "guest" level they usually have the same standard.

No problem of doing whatever with hotel PRO. Normaly the worst you can find on the market at incredible rates 50-100 USD/hour!

If you bring guest from outside before 11.00 PM they can get to your room by registering their documents, after 11.00 you will get a call, or most probabily a visit from the secutity staff (theoretically the room should change price, for double occupancy in that case, and it should not be allowed) but normally a 500 or a 1.000 rouble note, will in most cases solve any problem.

If you get in later, do not try to smuggle in the girls, go directly to the security staff at the elevators... try to speak gently and with discretion handle over a note or let it do by the girl (same amount) in a fair and not so evident way. The worst thing that can happen is that he refuses (very very seldom I must say).

The problem is that you have to get a girl with Passport (Russian), usually tocka ones do not have. The registration is a guarantee for you also so the will not rob any thing from your room.

So for this kind of hotels the best choiches are to seek for freebies of internet catalogues.

Please avoid lobby girls.

Having been a long time resident of the NE US I've been to Montreal about 50-60 times. With it's large open gay population, drug culture and very open prostitution what makes you think the HIV rate is lower in Montreal?

Are you basing this on anything factual or on Russia being an EE country therefore the HIV rate must be higher there?

Oh yeah, minus two points in general for throwing in an opinion on some place you've never been.

Another advantage of Montreal is the lower incidence of HIV and the fact that English is spoken.

Unfortunately I had no choice but booking a room at Rossija Hotel for my next trip in 2 weeks, due to the chronic overbooking condition that eternally afflicts the Moscow hotel world.

Is anybody aware of the degree of "guest friendliness" current at that hotel? Will I have any chance to get ladies in? I will be accomodated in the refurbished western area, that seems to be of higher level than the rest of the big monster.

Any information will be worth of the top of my gratitude ...

The security men won't let someone enter without a hotel card. Maybe if you give her the card of someone else (for example you may have lost your card and ask another one) or give a tip (but I am not sure at all that it would work), or simply if she books one night (less than $100 I think), but it would be suspicious at 2am ;-)
The western area is renovated with a nice view on the Kremlin.

In the evening someone can phone in your room and propose a girl. Or they can even knock at your door. The regular girls of the hotel are not good looking and not really cheap ($100 / hour but you can bargain). Maybe you can phone the reception and ask for a massage with a beautiful girl.

Another option is the massage salon (east area), so you can see the girl and decide if you want just massage or more.

You can also visit salons in the city (I haven't done that and I regret it)

Women's day is very important in Russia. Women like and expect to have gifts and especially flowers. As you know Monday and Tuesday will be holiday; young and old, beauty and nice(OK?), rich and poor, all Russian women want flowers, they love flowers.

I wish I will be in Moscow in next 5 days, but I have to wait 2 more weeks. Anyway, flowers amd small gifts are the real ice breakers for the EE girls.

Moscow is a sin city, NO is not an answer, you may get anything you want. But you have to watch yourself. Never ever walk around like a tourist(even you are one). DO not look at the maps and metro plans too long, you will become hunts for the hunters.

MT - I put that same question about the Rossiya to the board a while back and the response was not hopeful. You would have to get past the security goons at the elevators and then the dyezhoornayas on each floor.

one of the little pocket atlases is what I always use. They are tiny (much more compact than a folded map) ... most places have them, but I know the famous Bookshop on Tverskaya near the Yuri Dolgoruki statue has them
