    Hello everybody,

I will like to know to all of you experienced people, what other options besides Viagra are there to buy here in the USA?

    Thanx for the responses.

Ok, lets this this thing rest and MX sit in peace, for one day

Kosher watched this report last night on FOX and it was obviously slated for broadkast weeks ago, when the violence that has since kooled off was going on. This report has nothing recent to report, its "old news" and "ancient history", the piktures of the murders and shootings werent even in BT, or near it. Lets just konklude by saying, "3rd world countries, esp MX always have and always will present a risk of somekind", accept it or don't go. Its part of the game.

That said, keep your knives and drugs at home, have fun in MX and hope for the best. NL, Its still a ' hole in the wall' relative to MX beaches and other kountries, but it does serve its purpose, for a kuick nut for lokal TX'ans, a poor mans steakhouse

KosherCowboy: Feels sorry for the Nuevo Laredo-ites after last nights report, 2, ONLY two Amerikan tourists were killed in ALL of that krap, there was no mention of the tens of thousands of people who didnt have a problem, or the tens of thousands of dolars KosherCowboy has deposited in to the purses of the ladies there

Actually I had hoped the Fox news story would have had something about Boystown anyway. But it was just about the violence that has been going on there. I did capture to file, but it's not even that interesting of a story. I can still make it available for download sometime if anyone wants to watch it. It turned out a little bigger than I had hoped, because I wasn't happy with the quality of the lowest resolution recording I could do. It's about a 5 minute story, and the file size is about 5 MB. But again, not much of interest unless you want to hear how the streets of NL may be dangerous to tourists, and hear the Mexicans say they are not dangerous so come on down.

Not a problem CB... It's understandable.
fortunately, your ordeal is the exception and not the rule. I did edit your stor myself and sent it to La Manana newspaper and the Presidente (mayor) office and we'll see what happens

If anyone is interested I plan on capturing the Fox news report tonight into a computer video file. I can make it available for people to download from a web site. Quality won't be that great as I will try to keep the file small. But it should be OK.

Cool Beans is there anyway that you could put a video link to this story here on WSG so myself and others could actually click the link and then watch the news story via computer. There has got to be a way to do this. I watch news stories on the computer all the time.

I am not in the Austin area but I would really like to see this news story. If you could attach a video link to this story then myself and others could watch and be warned.

CB...If possible, could you tape that report and send it to me? I'll be more than happy to recompense you.

Ya'll don't get me wrong. It is nothing like hometown loyalty or anything when I speak up in defense of the people of Nl. Simply my experience living amongst them for so long and never having been hassled in all that time compared to the bullshit i put up with when I lived in Juarez.

One problem I see with this is coming out of the north entrance of the Marabu. Alone and on foot you made yourself a target of opportunity. Simple as that.

Blourgalss. In response to your question about the levels of corruption. Transito or traffic cops are perhaps the most corrupt of the bunch. You can get out of a DUI for about $40 if stopped. Followed by the Municipal Cops who within the city generally won't fuck with you unless you are breaking a criminal statute.

The PFP or Federales, Black and White Vehicles, are generally thought to be incorruptable as these are the best paid law enforcers in Mexico. They are young, well paid, well educated, most of them with a University education. well equipped. If you notice their vehicles, they are all equipped with Video rigs and they use them every time they stop a person. You also have a Special Investigative Group of commando style PFP driving Green Jeep unmarked Cherokees that you'll never have contact with unless you are into big time drugsd or staying at the Villa Real which is where they stay when up from Cd. Victoria. Nice bunch of guys and gals if you get an opportunity to talk with them. Lastly, the military is young kids, conscripts actually and generally you won't have a problem with them. On a trip to Queretaro last year, we went through 12 Army checkpoints and these kids were extremely polite and well mannered although there was a minute of concern when they asked suspiciously about the dildo shaped XM radio antenna on the top of my SUV.

Just some general advice though when coming down here. If you are stopped and hassled and you are not carrying anything illegal and are relatively sober, challenge the bastards. In Juarez, when stopped for some bullshit, I would pull out a pen and paper and as the officer was standing there with my license hinting around about the mordida, I would be writing his badge number and name tag info down. whe they noticed this, they were ususally really anxious to trade the info for my license and send me on my way with a "verbal warning"!

Contrary to popular opinion, there is a concerted effort in NL to do away with corruption but trying to put an end to something that has been an institution for so many years takes time. And human nature being what it is, some of these bastards are slow to get the message. Don't judge the people as a whole by the actions of a few. If you can get the officers badge number and name tag info and remember it, you can turn them in and something will be done about it. As far as vehicle info goes, the numbers are prominently displayed on the fenders of all the Police and Transito vehicles.

As I said CB, I would love to have a tape of this report if possible.

    Warning!!!!!

Stay away from Las Fuentes located in the back of Boystown. There's a ts posing as a female there. Big ass, big fake tits and ugly. Forget the name but says is from Guadalajara. Plus the waiters are pure human garbage. Avoid this place at all costs.

Carne, it is not illegal to buy a knife. It is illegal to carry one on your person. Not even a Swiss knife.
It is and has always been that way in Mexico.
And if by blue vitamins, you are refering to Viagra, remember that you might be able to buy Viagra over the counter on any drugstore but it is a drug that requires a prescription and you need the prescription to justify the possesion.

I had a similar experience in Reynosa BT. The outcome for me was much better tha cool beans but scary none the less.

I have pasted my post from the Reynosa section.

Seems like it is best not to be in any BT alone. When I was "reviewed" I was doing nothing but walking. I don't drink so I was not drunk. I just happened to walk past the BT police at the wrong time.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Had an interesting trip a couple of weeks ago in BT.

This was my 4th time in BT so I felt pretty comfortable being there alone. First night, it was kind of dead so I took a girl from Lipstcik into a room and right in the middle a Federali broke in with gun pointing at me and demanded to see my ID. After showing him, he just left. Never did find out who or what they were looking for. It was uncomfortable to say the least but the federali seemed more nervous than I was.

A couple of days later on Friday night, I was there and it was packed. The cabbie on the way there warned me about the local police harrasing people and sometimes planting drugs on people and arresting them. I thought he was just looking get me to have him be my guide for the night. I told him no thanks. Sure enough about 1/2 hour in I was "reviewed' by the police. They went through all my pockets. I kept pretty cool as I had nothing to hide but I was a little nervous as I remembered what the cabbie said. I also though they might take my money. Thank god they did not plant anything on me and I don't think they took any money. If they did it could only have been about $10. I was pissed off after that and left.

I will stick to the Colorado Club for my next trip. I know it is expensive and lacks "action" but I was able to have a pretty good time in the VIP and I know there are a couple of dancers that I will be able to hook up with outside of the club on my next trip.

    Anyone else had similar experiences?

    Cheribino and Cool Beans,

For what it's worth (prob'ly not much): Remember that the cops told CB he shouldn't be taking a leak. That's probably what his data-gathering LOOKED like to them. After they had "decided" he was doing they may have figured he was fair game. The lesson? Maybe only a very vague one: Don't do anything that will give a crooked cop the wrong impression.

Cool Beans I'm also wondering about your second shake-down. I'm going to guess that the uniformed pigs from BT had good reason NOT to be seen accompanying you to the ATM--and that that's why "Johnnie" had to do it. No?

And: Do you think maybe the city cops stopped you because it looked suspicious to see a gringo and a local headed to the ATM?? Did Johnnie seem anxious when that happened?

  14. #484
Can someone tell me why carrying a knife (even a small one) in BT will get you in such hot water? Heck, don't they sell switchblades right in NL? Will carrying a knife outside of BT in NL also get you into trouble?

Another question: Will an otherwise cleancut guy who has long hair attract the attention of the BT cops? Do you think they would be more likely to hassle him because they might think he is a druggie?

Also, should people now forget about taking blue vitamins to BT?

  15. #483
    Cool Beans,

Now we get to the bottom of things. If you were seen taking notes for the map then you were doing something out of the ordinary. Heck, those cops might have thought you were with the Christian Coalition and getting GPS coordinates for a cruise missile strike. Who knows what goes on in those tiny brains of theirs? Er... perhaps we can conject it might be that they see pussy all around them night after night and no way to afford it other than ripping off some dumb gringo.

Never heard of the cops counting somebody's money, but that sounds like a win-win for them. Got money then they can take it. No money and you are some troublemaker who did not come to BT to get laid.

What is clearer now is that you were alone and standing out with your note taking. You are correct when you say you were targeted by the Boys Town cops because you were alone and away from witnesses; but also because of your “suspicious” activity. New rule #1: don’t give the cops any reason to suspect anything they ought to investigate.
