    Angeles Girls

    Tooch,

The girls who work the club scene in Angeles are required to have a pap smear every week to check for desease. I was actually with one girl when her mamasan texted her to tell her to make her doctors appointment that day.

    AC Girls do get check-ups.

Tooch, Yes the Angeles girls also have to be checked once a month. I am not sure if they pay the 700 pesos to have it done but I do know they get checked once a month. You may notice the AC girls all carry those little ID tags on them in the bar. That is more or less a certification of sorts. The girls are NOT SUPPOSED to be working in the bar unless they are current on their check-ups. Of course that doesn't mean much as she can get her test done Wednesday, go to work Friday night, get barfined and that guy gives her something. Well, now she is infected with god's knows what and won't find out until she goes for her check up that next month, so cover your Willie!

Can anyone tell me if the Angeles girls follow a similar protocol? What assurance is there that the Angeles bargirls are free from disease?

    Thanks,

    Card Game Scam

Heh! That's funny. My second ever trip (February 2003) to the PI I fell for one of those. I was staying in Oasis and my friend and I decided to walk down to fields just for the hell of it. A filipino guy stops us and tells us about this wet T-Shirt contest and asked us if we wanted tickets. Well, being young and horny of course we said yes. Well, before we knew it we were in some guy's house playing cards. My friend was playing and I was watching...The filipino he played against kept trying to buy out the pot and I kept pushing my friend to outbuy him. Well, eventually my friend decided enough was enough and was ready to fold. I got pissed. "Aint no way in hell this little bastard is going to show us up!" and I took over the hand. Before I knew it the pot was up to $400 and I was happy as hell because I had a full house with queens. Of course this cheating little jerk had kings. I forgot exactly what his hand was.

Then of course my third PI trip (April 2003) I stay at Orchid Inn and saw that pretty little sign at the reception desk THAT WARNS YOU NOT TO GET INTO ANY CARD GAMES WITH FILIPINOS BECAUSE THEY ARE SCAMS! I guess you guys who stayed at Orchid missed that sign. Either that or it got yanked down. I aint been to Orchid since August 2004.

    Respond to Essi

My earlier post was to simply warn travelers that in A/C there has been an upsurge in scams involving P/males who will somehow gain access to your name, then use it to gain your confidence to whisk you away to an ill fated card game, or worse.

In addition to my experience six months ago, over the last 4 months I have had three friends stay at the Orchid Inn, all were approached by someone who knew their name, where they were staying and, in some instances, the names of friends they were traveling with. As was mentioned in earlier posts, just keep walking.

I would never want a fellow monger to go thru what I and one of my friends did.

I will be in A/C again in early December, if anyone would like to contact me regarding more information about these scams let me know.

In the Philippines ALWAYS be very wary of people who are trying to be your 'friend' or appear to 'know you'. Just keep on walking, ignoring them and they will know that you know what they know. I too have had guys approach me knowing my hotel etc. I have had girls in Manila call me in my hotel room just after I had checked in and know my name. One even said that I had made her pregnant! As often as not, this is done through a hotel employee at the hotel giving names and other details to girls for commission. There are lots of people in the Philippines that really work very hard developing new scams to trap the unwary foreigner. Some basics:

    1) Do not respond to guys offering great exchange rates in the streets. These guys will short change you by giving you so many small notes you will spend ages counting, or worse.
    2) Do not respond to people who claim to be hotel employees and know you, know where you stay or even your room number. Just because they know this does not qualify them for sainthood.
    3) Do not accept free sweets, drinks or food from strangers, no matter how 'friendly' they are. They may be drugged.
    4) Always lock up your valuables. A lot of hookers are on drugs and some really need a fix.
    5) Only use trikes and taxis with a clearly showing association number.
    6) Do not go down empty streets at night.
    7) If a car stops and says they are police and want to check your ID, tell them to show you their ID first (wallet snatch).
    8) Best not to let taxis or others take you to unknown addresses / locations.
    9) Do not take taxis that hang around the airport, clubs or restaurants where foreigners frequent. Take a taxi that is driving by, just dropped someone off or one from a standard taxi line where drivers cannot 'select' passengers (eg outside large shopping malls).
    10) Dress down.
    11) Be careful of public buses, jeepneys and vans. A manager of a large company in the Philippines told me that not a day goes by without one or more of his Filipino staff being mugged or robbed on public transport.
    12) Do not give people your name card unless you are absolutely sure they can be trusted.

All these are really common sense. Check the US and UK travel advisories as they are based on reality. Be very street wise and enjoy!

    Late September Monging

    Gents,

An overcast 28 in the City of Fallen Angels this morning. Arrived last night - man that new highway takes the pain out of the trip. Wild Orchid surely the most amazing hotel here and fantastic for those on the $60 a night-kind of budget. Humungous menu and very friendly staff. Lovely pool with wet bar. Who said this place was losing money. Ok there was nobody on the street at midnight and we must have been the only foreigners in most of the bars - Thursday night quiet times I guess. I think there are about 20 farang/gaijin in the whole town today but more tonight I'm sure.

Old faves Brown Sugar going well but only half their usual quota working it seemed. Lancealot very friendly and my buddy bought their cheapest champagne and began pouring that around - I should have stayed away from it and my head tells me today that I had more than one glassful. Viper Room quiet and good for a break where you can hear yourself think, but overpowering with that mothball smell. BN Exec Club had a superior selection but nothing to scream about. Dollhouse was a bit too large (like a massive kitchen or something) and yet pickings too scarce, although the best looking 3 girls of the night were dancing in there. The club next to Stingers (near old Orchid) was quite nice, with a good population of friendly girls there - three of whom kept me entertained and were asking me to guess which one I thought still had her "ass cherry". I lost the bets. More later - I gotta find an aspirin seller.

My last bar-fine came from there even as I only had two hours before I had to be at Clark for my flight. She was a worthy short time, even for the regular bar-fine fee of 1250 Pesos. Next time I'm in town I'll have to spend a few hours there to weed through the girls and find a true stunner. Worth checking out if your in town.

    Champayne Club

Champayne Club overall had some of the best looking women of all the clubs I visited during my stay in AC. It seems that by all the customers in the club, many people felt the same way. There were at least five women that I just had to bar-fine. I only ended up bar-fining one because there were so many other clubs to visit. I'll definitely make Champayne one of the first places I stop to bar-fine a girl next time I'm in town.

    Orchid Hotel Standard Rooms

The Orchid Hotel is a great hotel, but their Standard rooms ($25) really suck ass! No internet connection in the Standards when all you would have to do to set it up would be to get a wireless router, configure it and let it rip. The CR (Comfort Room) or bathroom if you will, is small and nasty and the water smells really bad. Overall, the whole room is not impressive. I checked out (becuase the deluxe rooms weren't available) and checked into the Central Park. Much better room for the money ($30). It had wireless and LAN connections, it smelled clean, looked clean, and was much larger overall, and the staff was excellent. If you also want to swim, they have a very small pool at the entrance that is ony good for getting wet. I took my girls to the Wild Orchid on Santos street and used their pool equiped with bar and Jacuzzi. In fact, I'll probably book the Wild Orchid the next time I'm in the RP because they had pool side rooms, Jacuzzi rooms, and balcony rooms ranging from $59-$79 a night. I'll definately give them a shot next time.

    Club Illusions

Hats off to club Illusions near the Pheonix Hotel. I had a fun filled few hours the time I spent there. The staff there is pretty wild and will do any thing to please their guests. I ordered five shots of tequilla and had the girls do body shots on me. All five had my dick in their mouth at one point during the shots. Those girls kept me hard for about two and a half hours licking, pumping and sucking my dick and nipples. Lady drinks were just 85 Pesos, and mamasan kept sending me free drinks (I guess to help grease the money out of my wallet) It's a great place to start a night of bar hopping. I believe they open at 2pm and close at 11pm, and if I'm not mistaken they have a short-time room on the premises because all the girls offered BBBJ's in the back room. It will be one of my first stops next time I'm in the RP.

    just use common sense

Things will happen to you no matter where you travel in the world if you don't exercise some common sense. Unlike in the US, at least you probably won't get a hole put in your head by some street thuds. Many guys approached me on Fields with all sorts of offerings and I just politely smiled and said no.

The common denominator in most of the scams involved strangers. Just remember what your parents taught you, guys!!

Surround yourself with what you know from your last trip or from fellow mongers advises and you probably will be OK. I feel safer in AC than many places in land of Lincoln

I cannot possibly recall how many times I have had people come up to me and say remember me. Especially loved it when someone said it to me on my very first trip to the Philippines. To me it was a no brainer not to even pay attention to anything these people would say, I just walke on. Only once did I ever bit on one and I am still not sure but it was a jeepney heading down Fields. Look every bit a jeepney until I noticed he wasn't stopping for anybody else along the road. At that point I simply jumped out when he slowed in traffic near Checkpoint. New visitors are always arriving and so it does need to be repeated not to ever interact with anybody on the street no matter what is said. Period!
