The resort is Amanpulo, a private island near Palawan. The island is called Pamalican Island. Search Google images for pics of the island.

It is just as beautiful as it looks possibly better. In three days we only saw two other people on the beach.

It's expensive but worth it. ($550 per day)

X--other than Boracay, what beaches do you recommend?

Here's a pic from the air. About 220 acres in size. One of the bungalows at the South end has a gorgeous view overlooking much of the island; others are set into the jungle such that it's like wall of green surrounding you. Beautiful setting, but for me, it's like a 6-star prison. :) :)

Big Fun, thank you for the nice pictures. Can you give us more info about the beach? I've been to Borocay and Panglao, but the beach in your pic doesn't look familiar. I read all the other threads so please feel free to post in the appropriate place.
