I'm heading to nordeste for 3 weeks come july (first time to Brazil). And I was reading some of the threads here to give me some ideas of where the action is. Forget this R500 for meals (that's just fucking ridiculous) but I came across R200, 250, 150 for an hour or whatever. At the same breath people were talking about how with a regular job Brazileras are making R400/month. What gives? The average salary where I'm from is about $36,000. After taxes, they'll clear about $30,000, that's about $2,500 a month. (That's a struggling salary here too). But for the life of me, I don't hear anyone paying $1,500 /hour here (The equivilant of R240) to screw anyone. The idea is fucking ridiculous.

R40 should've been the average/norm.

I'm gonna have to figure this shit out myself when I get there. Seems overpaying is the freeking norm down there. or is it?

P.S. I'm not poor (not that there's anything wrong with that) or cheap but I know what's worth what.

P.s Where in Rio do you find the best feijoada?

What's going on Sperto? I personally never had feijoada because I don't eat pork but I'm willing to bet the best feijoada you'll find, probably not in Rio per say but around zona sul, would be at the Feira Hippie in Ipanema. The Bahians know how to put it down.

Aside from that, there is also that football stadium looking place that you'll see off to the right of the linha Vermelha comming from the airport (forgot the name) but they have a festival every friday night "Bahian style" where they have live Axé performers and it's sort of like a flea market type atmosphere for food sampling. I've also picked up on some good smelling feijoada there.

I'm going to address this here since I think it's relevant, but the rest I've PMed you about. When I write a "report", I give the place, price, etc. Things that are useful to other members to monger. I don't give details like what positions I did with the girl because I don't think it's helpful except to perhaps Starfe who likes to touch himself while he reads these reports (one more zing for Starfe...it's a joke, calm down). Thus, I don't expect more from you, just the same important things we should all be forthcoming about like location, prices, type of girls available, etc.
