    Good tip PC!

Thank you PhalloCentrist for the tip on Loewy's.

During my first trip to Jakarta I mistakenly ended up at JW Bar thinking that's where BATS is located. Ended up chatting up with the petite hostess who suggested that I visit Mulia (which happened to be her fav party joint) if I wanted to party. May be I was reading too much between the line but I thought I could pull her if I tried. I was eager to visit BATS so I bounced after our brief chit chat. And now we will never know if my intuition was right.

    BTW, what's an OL?

    Apologies!

    Hey Smoothy -.

Apologies in advance if I came across asking the same question. The information JA shared was exactly the information I was seeking. Next time I will raise my question more thoroughly.

    Best.

    Walk of shame

    Hey JA,

Thank you! Hate the walk of shame. Will choose one of the 3 you suggested.

Anyways, my client has given me the choice to either stay at the JW Marriott Jakarta or Marriott Executive Apartments. They get preferred rates with the marriott brands. Need to know if either of these hotels are girl friendly if pulled in from BATS // CJ's. Last time I was staying at the Century (opposite to the stadium) and they were quite cool.

BTW, has anyone recently stayed at the Shangri-la? I'm wondering if it is easier if I just pay the diff out of pocket & stay there. Thoughts?

My favorite is Loewy's bar down the road. With a bit of luck you might score a rich MILF who for a change is more interested in the bulge in the front of your pants rather than the back!

Security is not a hassle in practice. Just get the taxi to drop you on the road outside.

Marriott is girl friendly. But, the problem is that they have multiple security checks and are paranoid about it, because they have had two bomb blasts there. If you don't mind going throughout the pain of multiple security checks, then it's a good place. Also, your girl will not be able to hide her identity. I would suggest that you check into either Mulia or Shangrila or LE Meridien. You would not have to go through the walk of shame, either while entering or departing with the girl.

Just want to correct an error in the above post. I meant to say Malioboro, not Maribaya. As most here know, Maribaya is in the Blok M area in the Hotel Melawai. Malioboro is in or near North Jakarta.

    Sorry about the error.

    Hotel M-Star

Google maps is showing that M-Star has "permanently closed". Too bad, it had some cute babes.

If you want to stay near hotel classic (bigger and nicer venue), then stay at Red Top hotel.

If this is your first time I wouldn't recommend this hotel its really north Jakarta very a lot of traffics jams around that area and its not that central location. I recommend that you stay at all seasons gajah mada its around the same price but much central just like grand Mercure but that hotel is a lot higher. All seasons gajah mada is near Malioboro and classic because you want to monger right hahahh.
