Classic is nice, clean, quiet, all shiny marble and tile floor with red teak wood furniture.

Service is very good and professional. Towels and sheets are fresh, clean, sparkling white, far better than other hotels. Smoking rooms have strong ventilation to suck out smoke in the room when turned on. They also have open windows to outside air.

It has a good breakfast buffet 88 are or $6 with strong coffee, eggs cooked to order and other tasty Indonesian dishes. It's closer to a 5 star hotel in LOS Angeles.

Of course the 2 clubs in the same building is very convenient. Classic Clubs and the girls do better and more honest business than Travel.

Yosephine is the manager. She will do better deals than Agoda, $25 without and $28 with breakfast, very good deal considering a small bowl of noodle soup will cost $4 in a filthy shop nearby. Contact her by email or phone on the web site to reserve.

    RESERVATION AT CLASSICHOTELJAKARTA DOT COM.
Thanks for this. How's the wifi at Classic? I'm deliberating between staying here for trying to find an airBnB for a month, perhaps two.

Hotels at Hayam Wuruk or Gajah Mada are close. But at Wahid Hasyim? Not really, considering Jakarta traffic.

Yes I've stayed there and no problem bringing a girl back. ATM is directly across the road at the bank opposite the hotel. Room is OK. Breakfast I thought wasn't that great mostly cornflakes that were tasteless I didn't eat them again after the First time. There is no option. To eat at the hotel unless its breakfast which was annoying. I didn't see anywhere around to eat either. High end shopping mall is nearby still need a grab taxi to take you there. Not much else to say really.

You are missing a map. Holiday Inn is about 10 min from all the places you mentioned. Its attached to a mall but not many food options though. I was only there 3 nights so its not a big deal. Great breakfast and hotel restaurant was good. But nothing much in the walking vicinity in terms of good eats.

Santika Premiere, Hayam Wuruk - 100% Girl Friendly

I stayed at this hotel for a week.

Girl Friendly. Yes. 101%. I had multiple girls visiting me on the same day, few girls were together at the same time. One at 2 AM etc. No issues whatsoever. Life need access control but staff is ready to help when you call them up and request for the girl to be allowed.

Location. Around 20 Km from airport. Its a good location near to Classic (8 Min) Travel (4 Mins) , Emporium (12 Mins) and lots of food joints across the street. Costs max 30 K on grab car oneway. However, all girls who visited me complained that this is quite far. Not sure if that is a trick for more taxi money though.

Staff. Super cooperative. They were very very helpful. They helped me with taxi booking too.

Breakfast. Very large spread including a separate Indo counter for those who may want to try the local cuisine.

Room. Clean. Big enough with a good and spacious bath. Hot and Cold water. There is a no jacuzzi here. TV, Mini Freezer were available.

Restaurant. Available at the lobby level where you can sit and relax in the evening or grab a snack and one at 22nd Floor which had around 4 tables. Sky longue was not great.

FreeLancers. I did not find any at the sky lounge. I did see one or two seated at the lobby but I did not dare to proceed as I was not sure.

    Travel Desk. Not available.

There is a BM who just posted in Jakarta Upcoming Trip thread that he is staying for a week. AT Classic Hotel. I encourage him to post a review or even a few sentences after he returns. I would consider staying there too. To avoid the traffic. And since I am an alcoholic - It would be so convenient to just "stay put. " and not have to stagger back in a damn Taxi or GoJek and wait wait wait... I do know there are much nicer hotels available - but....to me it seems like a great idea to park my ass near the well on my next trip. Peace!

These 3 Hotels are LESS than one Kilometer from each other.

The Holiday Inn Gaja Mada gets good reviews and is considered good value.

The Santika Premiere is in the same price range as the Holiday Inn. However, it has a Sky Lounge on the top floor. You may find a companion here and invite her to your room (Pre-Covid experience).

The Santika is also very close to the famous Mangga Besar. Visit in the evening after 9 pm. Its a 10 minute walk from the Santika. Lots of hustle & bustles with plethora of local eateries.

Novotel Jakarta Gajah Mada, Mercure Jakarta Batavia, Holiday Inn & Suites Jakarta Gajah Mada, Mercure Jakarta Kota, Hotel Santika Premiere Hayam Wuruk Jakarta, Jayakarta Hotel Jakarta.

Plan is to be close to Classic / Travel and similar places in the area for day action and then perhaps hit BAT / CJs in the evening to bring an overnighter. So is staying in North a doable / advisable option. Throw some light.

And google says: "no close Mr". Maybe I used the Indo version.

Closest is Shangrila, but the traffic flow is the wrong way. Only a small mall with cinema nearby. In my Jakarta travels, I may have passed by that area two or three times. That tell you all you need to know?

Seems some cheap deals can appear for this hotel. If not, the price is often 3 times the price of other hotels in the area. Why I don't know, and why you would stay there at that price I really don't know. Come in sucker?

BTW used to be a club 36? In that hotel. Once a wild reputation for nude dancers. Long gone when I visited. That was in 2010.

Quick read shows it's written by someone who hasn't ever been to Jakarta, or has no idea at all. Or both.

Melawai refers to the karaoke bar area, next to the infamous and long closed hotel Melawai 6th floor which is what I was thinking of. Both currently offer the same action on site. None.

The's place hasn't been called that in a few years at least, and only partially resembles it's old past. In facade only.

Calling all three the red light district centres of Jakarta really shows the lack of knowledge of the city. I'll stand by my assessment of the locales and venues.

In three days about the only reason you'll need to venture south is to CJs and BATs to look for an overnighter. Will probably be cheaper with much younger and better looks getting one out of the 'hotels' these days anyway!
