Let's admit it, these agencies amount to a tiny fly-by-night website listing 5-10 girls and a phone number. They're neither venerable elite outfits with reputation to protect, nor large online marketplaces with safeguard procedures in place.

There seems to have been a proliferation of "escort agencies" in Bangkok in recent years. Some (many) of these agencies offer average girls at inflated prices. In fact it appears to me some of the agencies are really gogo bars and MPs that have created a separate website and (mis) represented girls working in the parlor or bar as escorts. Sad. Old farts like me can remember a distant time when there were ladies called high-end call girls. Later they became known as escorts. Many of their clients were men like me, someone traveling on business. If I had a couple of hours and wanted to relieve some stress I'd ask someone at the hotel to make the arrangement. At the appointed time a very attractive lady who was well-mannered in public and a tigress in bed appeared. She wasn't cheap, but I didn't care.

An escort agency's advantage is convenient. Just call and book, fast, simple, discrete.

In the last few years of my business travels I began to notice some of the escorts I booked where so-so, though some were as good as ever. At one time the title escort pretty much guaranteed a certain quality of service and service provider. This was no longer true.

Though still, my experiences are that the most attractive ladies who provided the best companionship and sexual service have been escorts. This is true for every large city I've ever visited, including Bangkok.

One thing I like about Bangkok is you can contact an MP and book a lady for outcall to your room. It's as fast and easy as using an escort agency, and generally less expensive. When I'm in Bangkok there are some ladies in the MPs and a gogo bar girl I like to see. Rather than using a room in the shop or a ST hotel, I'll book them in advance and see them in my room.
