Hey everyone,

So I stumbled across this forum although I'm a local and have lived here all my life, so I want to share some basic advice for anyone interested so as to make their visit better.

First off, in comparison this is a relatively calm and small city compared to the most popular tourist cities like Medellin, Bogota, Cartagena, etc and there really isn't much to do to be honest. If you want to rent an Airbnb here you can get pretty cheap ones, and I'the suggest going to the nicer parts of the city like Cabecera and Sotomayor. If you're looking for some girls the most popular options are Mileroticos (https://co.mileroticos.com/escorts/s...r/bucaramanga/) and Photoprepagos (https://www.photoprepagos.com/prepagos/bucaramanga), which have been highly mentioned before and you will find obviously some fake posts, but generally everything like massage parlors, independent girls and agencies and its pretty straight forward, with rates going around 70 k to 100 k pesos (15-25 USD), just whatsapp the girls and talk to them; most of these girls work in motels and such in the downtown area. A more exclusive option, and I risk saying the only one at the moment, is Somos Para Ti (http://somosparati.com/prepagos-bucaramanga.html), an agency with a lot more quality in their girls, photoshoots, descriptions and generally a lot more professional; rates aren't that high either, with most girls being around 130 k to 200 k pesos (30-50 USD), there's a contact number you mediate everything through. As for places more like strip clubs or such there is one called Dubai which is pretty known, but I've never gone there since its on the outskirts and I'm not really into strip or show clubs so I can't give you a reference. If you take a taxi just ask them what you're looking for and they'll probably tell you about the ones they know..

If you are going to stay during the weekend or like to party I recommend going to Cuadra Play (Carrera 34 with Calle 48) just walk around that area and you'll see a good night life with some good bars and discos. Its not complex but probably better if you meet some locals to show you around and girls can be relatively easy, especially if you look foreign.

Well, maybe I was being a bit mean, but on my first day downtown I hardly saw a good looking woman! But then again downtown Medellin is also not exactly full of beauties! My point was that there is a broader range of looks here (from good to bad), than in Medellin. But after having been here for 5 days now I will revise that by simply saying that there are more good looking women here in my view than Medellin! Many cute chicas too working in stores and even in galleries of electronics stores.

If you like mulatas and ebony women though, Bucaramanga is not the city for you and I have hardly seen any! People tend to have dark hair and pale skin in general.

Totally respect your views bro. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and it's your own perspective. Sometimes people associate beauty with pale skin, some with share features, some with jawline etc. It's an individual perspective. Sometimes in life you will find ebony women who are having beautiful facial features and on other hand pale skinned girls with no defined features at all. Its different for all.

Taxi from the airport to downtown was 35,000 pesos. Rented a lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment for only about 340 Euro for a fortnight including the airbnb fees.

On Monday didn't do any mongering, just wandered downtown to get a feel for the place. You should never judge a place in a day though, because on Monday I thought the women here were ugly and the locals unfriendly compared to Medellin. But after a few days,

But after a few days, I have seen many beautiful women, and the locals are nice, many very friendly! In fact the friendly ones are more interested to really talk to you than in Medellin, because tourists like us are a rarity here! In Medellin I find I don't see too many ugly women, nor many stunning ones. Here I would say there are more ugly ones, but also more really sexy ones too walking around! If that makes sense? On the whole chicas are a bit taller and curvier here than in Medellin. I only went downtown on my first day, it's not particularly attractive or pleasant to walk around. Too much traffic, narrow pavements and not the best looking chicas I've seen here. My apartment is situated very near Carrera 27 on the downtown side, but once you cross over the Carrera you're in Sotomayor which is a much nicer area. From there the walk downhill to Cabacera is really nice. Everything is better than the downtown, ie the sidewalks, shops, cafes, chicas better looking etc. Have walked back from there on 2 evenings until around 10 PM, when there are still many people walking around, and it feels safe.

It's a smaller city than Medellin and the air quality is definitely better! I feel healthier here than in Medellin, where the pollution is pretty terrible! It's pretty hilly though, so walking around can get a bit tiring. I wouldn't recommend walking downtown after dark, as it doesn't feel as safe as Cabacera, and the streets will be pretty deserted.

I wrote to loads of chicas from mileroticos and photoprepagos on whatsapp before coming here. Several chicas I like work in 2 different places, a hotel and a casa both south of the centre. Visited the first one in the hotel on Tuesday, she was very sexy looking in my view but the she was a bit reserved and the service was just average. Paid 70 K for an hour. The second was a casa I went to yesterday where I was presented with about 6 chicas. There was a very curvy brunette that the casa madam also recommended to me as being extremely hot. She was, and let me treat her however I wanted! Paid her 80 K for an hour. I'll be going back to both places as there are a few others I would like to see at them. I don't like to post chica pages here, as we all have different tastes. The main points to take though, are to check the internet sites, whatsapp the chicas you like, and arrange to meet them. Very simple! If you want to know about the casa I went to, please PM me. If you can speak Spanish like me, it of course it helps writing the messages and getting the taxi's. I have found the taxi's honest, and unlike some places like Cartagena they don't drive like psycho's, even though they have to negotiate some pretty heavy traffic! Both places I went to called me taxi's to return, and they were also fine. I always ask how much will it be when getting in the cabs, just so I don't get a nasty surprise at the other end, and also to let them know not to mess with me! Each trip was just a few kms and cost me about 6000 pesos.

Tomorrow I'll do some more mongering, either at one of those places or a couple of others where several chicas on the websites also work. I also find that meeting a chica through the websites is very easy, 80 % of them reply straight away and they are very keen for your business. To me it's a lot more straightforward than the hit and miss of Facebook and a lot less time consuming. And it's easy to spot the fake chicas, they look too good! If a chicas replies are lazy, or she seems far too keen, or a bit of a kook, I just move on to the next one.

On the downside here, the traffic is pretty bad, the constant car horns are tiring and it's a very noisy place! For someone like me who is happy to come back to the apartment at 9 or 10 and take it easy, this place is fine. But for you guys who like to party hard you would probably get bored here after a few days. I've been to the liveliest streets in Cabacera to eat in the evening, but they are pretty tame by Medellin standards and during the week the restaurants / bars are pretty empty.

If there are any other nice parts of town that I should know about, please advise me if you've got some on the ground knowledge. I'll update you guys on how I'm getting on here in a few days.

Hey guys, didn't manage to get to Bucaramanga on my last trip in October, but have reserved to go in early March for a fortnight. Will be staying near the 'Parque de Los Ninos' on east side of the centre. For those on here who know the city, until what time is it safe to walk in the centre and back to where I'm staying? Do people walk much here after dark? Others have already stated that the taxis are safe enough. Safe to just hail on the street / honest / meters can be trusted?

I've already found many chicas I want to meet from photoprepagos and mileroticos, but are there any good / safe / easygoing chica bars (not massage places, already know about many of them from here and mileroticos), either in the centre or not too far out?
