I spent a month in BGA as the Hilton there with points is the cheapest one in the world. After promos and free nights it was costing me 2000 points (10 usd), of which I have many. Can't say I'd recommend BGA for that long as its a bit sleepy but I'm looking for a job so it worked out very economical for me. The town meets all my needs, cheap girls, nice massage, decent food, walkable, and safe. Not much distraction so I was able to focus on "work. " Cabecera is the place to be. Although even on the weekend its quite snoozy.

I went to Mercargan just about every other day and had their 300 g filet mignon that costs $8. It's unreal. Make sure to order it "en bloque" or they butterfly it and you don't get the nice tender pink center meat. Comes on a sizzling plate that you can use to "cook" it a bit more if its too rare for ya. Medium seemed to usually give me what I'd call medium rare back home, which was fine for me. The rest of their steaks were nothing special. Reviews rave about the burger but all I could think of during every bite was that if I'd just paid another $2, I could have had the steak.

BGA doesn't seem to have the "casas" that Medellin and Barranquilla have and advertise. There's three systems.

1. "Casas". I put in quotes as these places don't advertise as casas. Each girl self-promotes. So you'll write a few chicks on Mileroticas and you'll start to see a few of the same places / prices returning. As pimping is illegal, I suspect its not OK there to advertise as a brothel. There might be 10 of them. I didn't check that many out as most were a tad far and I wasn't going anywhere that charged 80 k HH.

They can be nice and you can pay up another 10-15 k and get jacuzzi rooms etc, which I didn't do. Most are near the Isla which is on the fringe of walking distance from Cabecera.

3. Massage places. These places are cheap usually 50-70/ HR and come w happy ending. Have 3-8 chicks. The HJ is included but heaven forbid you want more as the up-charge for anything else is crazy expensive. I don't bother to ask anymore. Spent 2 days in Bucaramanga.

They took me to a place far from town I forgot the name, there also I spent some time speaking with another cool Chica, having a drink. There were 20 to 30 girls inside, all types, colors shapes, some of them were physically really attractive.
