But you certainly made your point that presidents do indeed create or destroy jobs and can produce and preside over Great Recessions or avert and avoid them.
Far from being mere refs, Presidents are stewards of the economy. They propose what goes or does not go into budgets and legislation. They lay out full economic agendas.
Of course, it is then up to Congress to go with it or reject it. And history clearly shows when Repub presidents largely get their way, as Reagan did in his first year in office, what follows is economic disaster and all too often a Great Recession vs when Dem presidents largely get their way, as happened for FDR, LBJ, Clinton, Obama and even Biden so far, what follows is historic jobs creation, economic expansion and, guess what, no Great Recessions.
Presidents are faced with dozens of economic decisions on proposals and plans every day that can either lead to more jobs created and economic expansion for the country or to jobs destruction and economic contraction.
The actual historical data and record of results of at least the past 100 years show Dem presidents overwhelmingly choose to support and promote the former while Repub presidents, including Reagan, overwhelmingly choose to support and promote the latter.

Eighty-three percent of Democrats support the plan, while only 28% of Republicans do. However, although support for the plan is split along party lines, individual components of the plan garner high support from all Americans. Expanding Medicare coverage gets the most support (80%), followed by imposing a 5% tax on incomes of over $10 million a year (70%), and universal preschool (69%). Investing in the immigration system (53%) and imposing a 15% minimum corporate tax (56%) are least supported, with the lack of support primarily from Republicans. Finally, 57% think Americans would be positively impacted, and a majority think they would personally benefit from the bill being passed.
The sample includes 449 Democrats, 381 Republicans, and 91 independents.

It's impossible to believe that anyone other than Trump could've blatantly committed so many criminal offences, one after another, in broad daylight and gotten away with it. Who's Teflon Don now?
Mindboggling, really.

In fact, 50 RethugliKKKan Senators represent something less than 25% of the American people.

Ivanka and Jerod ran as fast as possible from TrumpShit.
I don't think they have been in the same room since they fled soon after the failed coup.
Ivanka & Jared have a simple choice (I think they made it in January right after Ivanka tried to talk daddy down from his glee over the rioting).
TrumpShit will definitely drag Ivanka down with the corruption of The Trump Oganization's frauds.
Unless she breaks free.
Any good student of Grandpa Fred Trump and Roy Cohn know that when someone's becomes a problem.
You best dump them in the gutter.
Or prison, where they can no longer hurt you.
There never was any room in the Kosher home that Jared and Ivanka keep.
Just room for the kids, that need both of their parents.
Jared is a lifelong democrat that gave money when Hilary ran in 2008.
That was the year where Jared gave his endorsement to Barack Obama in his campaign against John McCain.
Ivanka is a real Trump. She demands loyalty.
But doesn't give any if it costs.
Donald Trump is a criminal and he belongs in jail, with Ivanka's help, or not.
Ivanka is going to help herself.
