Posts: 657Democrats Vote To Reinstate Trump As President So Impeachment Trial Is Constitutional
Washington DC—Trump has been reinstated as president so Democrats in Congress can be sure the impeachment trial will be constitutional.
Trump will resume serving as president effective immediately so that Democrats can vote on the article of impeachment filed against him.
"We must make Trump president again so we can constitutionally impeach him again," said Chuck Schumer. "It's the only way to be sure. Normally, we don't care about the Constitution, of course, but when you're talking about impeaching Trump, we have to make sure we get it just right. ".
Democrats everywhere approved of the move, saying they have had nothing to live for since Trump left office last week.
"I had all these protest signs and nothing to protest," said Portland-area BLM activist Jacob Brier excitedly as he got on his gas mask. "We tried firebombing the local DNC headquarters, but it just wasn't the same. Sure, we could protest Biden starting a new war in Syria, but it's more fun to protest war under a Republican president, even though Trump didn't start any. Feels more righteous-why. "

The illegals are there. Better to assess them and give a process to stay. Obama had no problem deporting bad actor illegals, I don't see Biden being different.
The only delay to people getting further stimulus cheques is the Republican members of the Senate who would rather cut off their dicks than give people in need money. The only people allowed to receive money from the Government are the super wealthy.
The Keystone pipeline was always doomed to be a failure. Stupid to have started it. The jobs are nothing to the economy a couple of thousand. The oil industry is a dying industry just like coal. The implementation of electric vehicles en mass will provide many more jobls in the roll out of renewable power and distribution networks.
Well you must be a socialist because you have been soaking up all the Trump lies and believed it! Still think the election was stolen?

Posts: 2344Mostly agree with this, regarding China and Russia anyway. And also regarding that most Europeans not grasping the root of American power and thus our attitude. I don't even think many liberal Americans grasp it, at least they don't seem to want to come to terms with what made America become a powerhouse. But some of those roots of power are now pretty inconsequential. Geographic isolation, free of nearby foes, shouldn't be anywhere near as beneficial with the current state of warfare. Even if we were plopped in between Russia and China, I'm not sure that geography and locale would be the most important factor in strategic planning. The economic globalization trend of acquiring natural resources and the push towards renewable energy may also also make that less of a factor. Who knows what the financial-currency picture will look like. Will the dollar remain the reserve currency? Will fiat currency at all? Blockchain-Crypto? Too many wildcards to rest on our past laurels.
The assessment of the Russia threat seems pretty fair with the exception of taking much stock in their role in the World Wars. Not sure this is the same Russia and I think their actions were probably out of self interest. But anyway, rarely do you see people articulating the Russian threat this way or citing their positive characteristics. Kudos.
I think regarding China, it should be hammered home that China is a rival rather than an enemy. The Chinese are practical and I'm sure they understand that war, whether military or economic, does not benefit them. As such, does anyone think that they would push their relationship with the west toward more conflict? Terms like threat and enemy seem to be weapons of cultural engineering to get the masses riled up.
Domestic policies aside, it seems that their international policies reflect them just playing the game pretty well. Their infrastructure positions in Africa and South America are due to sound economic policy and masterfully executed. They pretty much own Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa at this point. Their financial and economic influence in Europe, the Pacific, and North America was respectfully built from the ground up, benefiting from economy of scale and unilateral agenda setting. Painting them as an enemy to be villainized rather than as a rival to outcompete seem to be a bitter grapes approach if you ask me.
As for Trump, should he be impeached? I thought so because the facts do show that while his words and actions would not convict him in a legal trial, his actions and words as President seem to put a great deal of fault on him. Again, impeaching doesn't necessary mean convicting for legal liability. Merely finding someone guilty of betraying public trust or just being drunk is enough to bar from high office. As far as constitutionality, well federal judges have been impeached and "convicted" in the past, post leaving office. We do have precedent for this. Now, with 45 GOP Senators already publicly opposing the trial, do I think it's worth it to continue? Not so much. But the ball is already rolling. Oh well.

Cultured and non-corrupt. Say what? They may have millennia of "culture" but their culture is certainly not something most nations or people aspire to. As for non-corrupt. What have you been smoking and where can I get some? I agree with much of your assessment, but not in these cases.

Posts: 690Neanderthals say the dumbest things
In 1950's USA Art Linkletter hosted a TV program "Kids say the darnest things" Fast forward to the the new millennium, Political Neanderthals say the dumbest things. Targeted foreign aid (a small % of GDP) to South America would go a long way to helping the economies there (2 hurricanes in Honduras with no help to the populace) and reverse the political problems cause by two centuries of interference. People in South and middle America with nothing left to lose are not coming north to participate in the fractured democracy, and what's left of it. BTW, this is how Wikipedia traces the origin of "impeach". "The French empechier, EMPcher, from Latin "impedicare" caught, entrapped, to prevent. Late 14th century empechen, to hinder, impede, prevent. The Middle English verb apechen, to "accuse, charge". With a few clicks anyone can find facts to suit a twisted logic. America was beautiful before the invaders came. Now it’s empty strip malls and online shoppers as digital tools of Bozos, Fuckerberg and Bamboozled. A seriously aggrieved white minority living in the past, while others are moving forward. “Progressive” and adverb. Circa 1600 “characterized by advancement, going forward, progress.

Promised $4 billion to Central America that they will get before USA citizens get their next stimulus check.

Killed our domestic oil industry so that we can be more reliant on foreign oil so we can get in a war over oil.

He wants to bail out democratic states that are broke because of their failed policies and get illegals sworn in. Covid Stimulus should not be tied to immigration and illegals but only for citizens.

The thing about socialism is that all the government needs to do is tell you it works and everything will be better and you believe it. Well the smart 50% of the USA don't believe it. After 4 years the other 50% will just say that it didn't work but it wasn't Sleepy Joe fault it was Trump's fault.
Mark my words: Every failed policy by sleepy Joe will be Trump's fault! And if you don't believe me ask the honest media CNN.

Posts: 657Proud Boys Leader Was 'Prolific' FBI Snitch: Court Docs
While US officials claim that 'far-right extremism' is one of the largest threats facing America, the leader of the group most commonly singled out as an example. The Proud Boys. Was a 'prolific' informant for federal and local law enforcement, according to Reuters, citing a 2014 federal court proceeding.
Enrique Tarrio repeatedly worked undercover for investigators following a 2012 arrest, court documents reveal.
Curiously, Tarrio was ordered to stay away from Washington the. See. One day before the January 6 Capitol riot after he was arrested on vandalism and weapons charges. Upon a request by government prosecutors that he be prohibited from attending. At least five Proud Boys members were charged as part of the riot.
In a Tuesday interview with Reuters, Tarrio denied working undercover or cooperating in cases.
"I don't know any of this," he said, adding "I don't recall any of this."
Law-enforcement officials and the court transcript contradict Tarrio's denial. In a statement to Reuters, the former federal prosecutor in Tarrio's case, Vanessa Singh Johannes, confirmed that "he cooperated with local and federal law enforcement, to aid in the prosecution of those running other, separate criminal enterprises, ranging from running marijuana grow houses in Miami to operating pharmaceutical fraud schemes. ".
Tarrio, 36, is a high-profile figure who organizes and leads the right-wing Proud Boys in their confrontations with those they believe to be Antifa, short for "anti-fascism," an amorphous and often violent leftist movement. The Proud Boys were involved in the deadly insurrection at the Capitol January 6.
The records uncovered by Reuters are startling because they show that a leader of a far-right group now under intense scrutiny by law enforcement was previously an active collaborator with criminal investigators. -Reuters.
. Tarrio's involvement with law enforcement will no doubt fuel speculation over just how 'organic' the threat of 'far-right extremism' is, particularly when the vast majority of violence observed over 2020 was committed by far-left groups rioting in the name of racial justice."
Zerohedge dot com.
Commenter: "IOW, the leader of the Proud Boys was an agent provocateur reporting to FBI handlers. " Where was Lisa Page and Agent Strozk when the "capitol insurrection" went down? LOL.
"Duh, at least 50% of any group like this are federal agents or informants. They will create or even takeover the groups. Decentralization. " How many of the "rioters" in the Capitol were paid to be there?
"This story is incredibly easy for me to believe, especially a day after the story of the child turning in his father for the horrific atrocity of entering into what was an open public building before the ruling class set the 1,000 meter rule of no approach. What was the father's other crime again? Complaining (and protesting) about election fraud?
"I had a trial a few years ago in which most of the MS-13 leaders worked for FBI while in leadership position."
