Well, I perceive bold text and capitalization both as shouting which is rude and patronizing to a reader, as if any reader can't follow or comprehend the whole text of the article.

Therein lies the artistry of the post. Granted, a writer's stylistic queues, my not suit everyone, but do that which makes you an individual. Or NOT!

Listen, there are many things ISGers, can point to that are REALLY and truly rude, least of which is the odd word or two, that is bolded, CAPITALIZED, italicized, or underlined. for effect, when writing.

Point and case, in your recent post for instance, you didn't include my quote (or anyone else's) in your post, to whom your criticisms, explanations, or comments are directed toward. This can also be seen as rude. Not to mention very confusing to readers.

Also leaves the reader confused as to whom or to what some of the other comments, links and articles, in your post are addressing. Or perhaps just lazy posting, where it's left up to the reader to figure these things out for themselves?

Personally, I tend to focus on the actual WORDS that are being said, by the writer of the post. Consider the rest as "a poetic license" or colorful way, to draw the reader in, as writers have done before me, for eons.
