Denial will not make it go away. Defund the police is rapid along every democrat state. You denying it doesn't change anything. Most democratic states have already defunded their police and cut staffing by over 30%. Not a shocker that crime and murders have gone up in these states 30% to 100%. They think they can deny reality and get away with it because the mainstream fake news never calls them on it. That's exactly what happened. Fairfax, the biggest and heavily democrat county, did not release its results at the scheduled time due to, ahem, "delays" and the need to, ahem, "rescan" some "faulty" ballots. Sounds familiar.

Fortunately the overwhelming majority for Youngkin made it too difficult for them to steal. Unfortunately, the democrat machine in Jersey, one of the most corrupt places in the country, were able to rig the result there and get the hapless apparatchik Murphy. Who said that the Constitution was "above his pay grade" - back into office.

People need to realize that as great as the Youngkin win was, the democrats / media / Washington deep state remain in control of the country and (via fake and corrupt mail-in voting, no ID verification, and refusal of DoJ to properly investigate and enforce laws) can still rig any election they want.

They are walking the tightrope of attempting to make sure the dems stay in charge while making the cheating subtle enough that normal patriotic Americans believe that they still have a fair shot at getting our country back via the voting booth (protip: we don't). If they had engineered a fraud at the scale it would have taken to defeat Youngkin (as they did last year to install Biden), millions more patriotic Americans would have seen through the system. So they threw us a bone.

It's likely that, given the mood of the nation and the utterly inept, corrupt, worthless, humiliating shambles of Biden-Harris and their handlers, they will be forced to allow the GOP to retake the House and possibly the Senate next year. But believe you me, there is no way the deep state Washington globalists / media / Wall St / democrat machine will allow Trump to win in 2024.

They are making preparations already: all of the millions of illegals that Biden's handlers have been inviting across the open border and then flying to swing states will be voting, probably multiple times each, all of which will be harvested by democrat operatives. The democrat city counting centers will be primed once again to board up the windows, throw out the GOP observers, then at 4 am discover exactly the number of votes, 98% for Harris, that she needs to win.

The fraud will be too obvious. Harris is absolutely detestable, hated even within her own party: she makes Hillary Clinton look like Mary Tyler Moore. People are tired of all safety theater covid nonsense that the democrats have been forcing upon them. Few people have benefitted from the mandates, forced closures of businesses and their livelihood being outlawed in the name of woke culture.

So many small businesses have been forced to shut down permanently, many have lost their jobs, many landlords have had to go over a year without collecting rent payments from their tenants who either took advantage of the moratorium, or lost their job due to the grave misfortune of living in a blue state.

The outcome in Virginia perfectly fits the way a Virginia gubernatorial election outcome has been since the beginning of the country and the way all but 1-2 post-presidential elections (including midterms) have gone since the end of WWII. Now, the Dem Murphy win did break a usual trend.

Youngkin's particular advantage was the typically pro-Repub Mainstream Media was able to promote lies about the Dems and convince suckers to get riled up to vote against boogie-men that don't exist in a more traditional manner without much interference from Trump, who Youngkin avoided like the plague (but with a wink, as you pointed out)
