" Gee, why the fuck is that? Because of something his ancestors did based on the color of their skin? Hell, the family on my father's side was not even in the USA so does that mean I am supposed to be prejudiced against based on my skin color? Isn't that against what MLK said?

But we are supposed to respect the judges. I did. It is funny how you Dems respect the judges only when you get the decision you want. It is the same with riots. 1-6 happens and no one is hurt but a protestor, and it is the biggest threat to America's freedom. BLM riots, where there is enormous death and destruction, and that is fine.

My sister in law had to take a mandatory seminar at her university. She was told the term breast feeding was sexist because men could feed babies too. It is now chest feeding. She was also told not to call her daughter she because her one month old baby had not made up her mind about what her sex is. She should be called they. Yeah, somebody was actually getting paid to teach that shit, and it was mandatory.

Nobody wants Russia to win. We want the war to end. The issue is not the Russia people, it is a few in government. If this escalates or drags on instead of looking at a long recessions, things will get much worse and many will never recover financially.

Sometimes in life you have to lose to win. Ukraine has already won, but if this drags on it is really bad for everyone. They need to find a solution, both parties need to compromise. In life you do not always get what you want and sometimes you have to deal with bad people.

Exactly. If you look at the economics, it benefits everyone to have this be a cease fire.

It isn't an issue of current economic practicalities but over Putin's desire to absorb the Ukraine. Ultimately rebuilding a Soviet era empire is the aim which would involve economic gains. Vlad hasn't felt enough pain yet to back off of these ambitions that have long been entertained.

Well, it benefits all parties except the Democrats that think this war is going to benefit them at the polls in November, and that is why it is continuing. The Democrats are willing to fight the Russians to the last dead Ukrainian.

That the Democrats want to see Putin gone and imagine that a Jesus type is going to emerge as leader and Democracy is going to fall down in Russia is pie in the sky thinking.

By the same token it's far from a guarantee that regime change would involve a replacement as sinister as Putin. In fact there have been a number of Russian leaders, pre and post Soviet era that we could negotiate with and didn't engage in nuclear blackmail. Any regime change though as a matter of course is up to the Russians, which Biden and everyone knows. It would be too difficult to get on the inside.

Biden came out and said that Putin cannot stay in power and now we have the dumb Dems agreeing with it. The Russian people were serfs, respect a strong leader, and it is zero surprise to me that the most recent Democratic initiate begun in Russia 20 something years ago has resulted in Russia having a dictator. That is what the people there want believe it or not.

Your historical analysis is simplistic and follows with a non-sequitur. Just because Russian lacks a history of democracy doesn't mean they are incapable. Democratic movements exist there, and no one knows the extent of those in favor as polls are unreliable due to intimidation. There are also a number of countries in that region that also had little to no such history but are now standing democracies. Take a look at Ukraine and there are several others. Putin also isn't a strong leader but a twit. Bullies always are flustered once they are punched in the mouth.

Instead of dealing with the reality of saving the world economy and as many lives of Russians and Ukrainians as possible, we see the dumb Dems in a contest of who can hate Putin the most. That does no good and is even harmful, but it is virtue signaling at its finest. And it makes me wonder why. Is this really about the invasion and the tragedy of all those who died or is it irrational payback for the dumb Dems who still blame Putin for Trump winning in 2016?

Yes, standing up to genocidal acts and nuclear blackmail ultimately saves lives as it's sets the correct precedents on the world stage. And of course you couldn't care less about Ukrainian lives.
