They didn't lockdown while their neighbors all did. Well enough time has passed. What does the evidence show (Worldometer) Sweden had nearly 2 times as many deaths per capita from Covid compared to Denmark (a much more densely populated country). Nearly 3 times as many deaths per capita as Finland and 4 times as many deaths per capita as Norway.

In most European countries, one is automatically registered to vote when one turn 18. In France, one isn't, which is why France has some of the lowest voter turnout rates in Europe. https://www.france24.com/en/europe/2...-of-abstention.
But more to the point, why don't we look at our neighbor to the south, Mexico. In Mexico, there is not much mail-in voting, that's true. But in Mexico, the Federal Government is in charge of elections. How voter registration is done and how voting is done is enshrined in the Mexican Constitution. The way to register to vote is in the Constitution. The documents required are in there also. The INE (voter ID card) is provided by the Federal government. When you show up to your polling place, they have a voter roll with a photo (provided by the Federal government also) and you are required to show your INE. But, also enshrined in the Mexican Constitution, is the fact that there is one polling place for every 1500 people. As is the fact that election day in Mexico is on a Sunday and election day is also a federal holiday. Many businesses that are usually open on a Sunday (like restaurants) are closed on election day because of the high salary costs (triple time?) of requiring people to work on that day.
But I'd be willing to bet money that you and the rest of the tRUMPers here would object mightily to a Mexican-style system in the US. After all, you'd rather complain about how states should have the right to say that a hunting license is fine as proof of residency but that a college ID isn't. Or that closing all but one polling place in a county is perfectly OK and that requiring somebody to take time off from an hourly job and drive 2 hours in order to vote is fine. Or that mail-in ballots are somehow fraudulent just because they are mail-in ballots. Because, you know, it is very easy for someone who doesn't have a clue as to what your signature looks like to forge your signature.
I don't know what is worse, that you actually have the stone to post such nonsense or that you actually believe what you posted.

Because they are fake news.

California has no shortage of wealthy people happy to live there and pay taxes. Obviously, the revenue and record budget surpluses reflect this. It is a GOOD THING to have budget surpluses available to cover costs and keep the economy growing even during "rainy day" eras of inevitable Great Repub Recessions.
Yes, I realize a classic Hoover / Reagan / Bush / Trump Repub like you sees a surplus as an excuse to give the poor put upon wealthiest "a refund" so they can become even wealthier at the expense of everyone else. But when the next Great Repub Crash, Recession and Massive Jobs Destruction follows hot on that move's heels as it always does, there will be no money in the till for that very rainy day and then it will require huge deficit spending government intervention to pull us out of it, triggering the usual inflation issues and on and on.
Which is a pattern you classic Repubs apparently love to repeat over and over and over again.

Your youtube piece is from Sky News Australia which is owned by News Corp. Rupert Murdoch has 39% voting power over this corporation and they also own and operate Fox News. I'm sure you weren't aware but all of News Corp's media subsidiaries would be classified as ultra-conservative and journalistic integrity is not their hallmark.
If you really wanted to look at corruption you might ask why Donald Trump never divested his business interests while he was in office as required by the Emoluments Clauses.
https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/R/R45992
Or how the Trump children sponsored charity fund raisers at their Trump Organization properties and charged a exorbitant percentage of the donations as "fees". Or how Trump directed that many international meetings were held at Mar-a-Lago charging excessive fees for guests and for Trump and his required Secret Service detail. (This falls under the Emoluments clause). I could go on and on and on.
If the Bidens are / have been corrupt, well then buddy, they are Bush league compared to the Trump crime family.

Then you pull the SNL and Gilda Radner thing 5 X in your post where you go off on some trivia that I got wrong when I did not even say it. Joe Kennedy was NOT SEC chairman. WTF?
Then there is the "high quality" BS. 20% of the triple short SQQQ that I own are shorts on Apple. I would be hard pressed to name a more "high quality" company that Apple, yet Apple has tanked. Why?
Presidents campaign on a lot of things. When they get in office and they announce and implement their policies, that is when it is smart to invest or not invest alongside them. I was happy to invest in Obama's oil policies and have been happy to be short Biden's.

And now you do not get that part of the bill racked up with all that Covid debt is due. The only difference is now there is a scorecard, and I am up 50% and you are down 20%. Your lying about the score card is not surprising. What else can you do? Admit you are wrong? LOL.

Posts: 1044Just in case anyone was silly or brainwashed enough to think Joe Biden wasn't lying when he claimed to have no idea of Hunter's dubious business dealings in Ukraine and China ("ten percent for the big guy" a voicemail from Sleepy Joe to Heroin Hunter has just been leaked showing that he was deeply involved.

Unsurprisingly, the fake news media has ignored this bombshell. Which is, of course, why they are known as fake news.
