Posts: 5447Here is a terrible economic forecast for Repubs
Repubs and typically pro Repub Mainstream Media just hate economic forecasts like this during a historic Great Dem Recovery like the current one, but especially during an election year:
New York Fed President John Williams says a U.S. recession is not his base case
https://www.cnbc.com/2022/06/28/new-...ndroidappshare
New York Federal Reserve President John Williams said Tuesday he expects the U.S. economy to avoid recession even as he sees the need for significantly higher interest rates to control inflation.
A recession is not my base case right now, Williams told CNBCs Steve Liesman during a live Squawk Box interview. I think the economy is strong. Clearly financial conditions have tightened and Im expecting growth to slow this year quite a bit relative to what we had last year.
Quantifying that, he said he could see gross domestic product gains reduced to about 1% to 1.5% for the year, a far cry from the 5.7% in 2021 that was the fastest pace since 1984.
But thats not a recession, Williams noted. Its a slowdown that we need to see in the economy to really reduce the inflationary pressures that we have and bring inflation down.

Even for an informal poll, 4 responses makes the poll a bust. Sorry.
Of course, there may be an alternative interpretation. Since you made your poll binary (Trump would be a better POTUS vs Biden is a better POTUS) perhaps people who thought they were equally good or bad or mediocre didn't respond and you didn't give that as an option. I don't think you have a future as a poller.

Posts: 1044Thought I'd drop in here after all the abortion kerfuffle and I'm amazed to see the same handful of wacko leftists posting every day as when I was last here years ago. Well, maybe not that amazed. Have to give the wacko left credit if I'm honest: the rest of us have jobs, lives, relationships, and many other better things to do. But they are utterly obsessed and relentless, which I guess is how they manage to force through so much of their wacko crap that nobody wants.
Quite amusing to have a leftist abortion mob literally attack the Arizona Capitol just a few days after the fake "Jan 6 Commission / Communism / Whatever" (which nobody watched despite the fake news media spamming it on every single TV channel. LOL). Of course there will be no vast FBI investigation of the leftist rioters who attempted insurrection against democracy in Arizona; no solitary confinement for years of those who entered the building; no endless fake news wailing about it all; no fake democrat soviet-style "commissions."
It's no surprise that leftists violently attacked the Arizona Capitol: they have been encouraged to so without fear of consequence for the last two years by leading democrats and the media. Rioters attacked cops in LA with a flamethrower the other night. They have been attacking federal courthouses and other property and law enforcement personnel with impunity for years.
Most of them are not even arrested. There is no attempt to trace them from video footage or other evidence. The tiny handful who are apprehended red-handed for violent rioting immediately get bailed, then have their charges dropped by leftist Soros-funded democrat city DAs. Meanwhile there are people still in solitary confinement after a year and half for walking peacefully through open doors into a building in Washington.
And now the wacko left leaders, AOC, Pocahontas Warren and Maxine Waters, alongside most of the fake news media, have declared the Supreme Court (a branch of the federal government) "illegitimate" and called for action "beyond voting". Hmm, seems like a call for violent insurrection, which is of course exactly what has happened, just like the Fentanyl Floyd violence.
(Let's not even get into the clownworld doublethink of the same wacko leftists screaming "My Body My Choice!" demanding mandatory experimental RNA 'vaccines' for all).
It's clear the two halves of the country cannot live together. Time to divide the country. You can have abortion on demand up to the moment of birth; child trannies; unlimited turd world open borders immigration; anti-white male laws, quotas and restrictions; 'hate speech' laws; and mega welfare gibsmedats for everyone. We'll have traditional American values and people. Best of luck. You'll need it.

Meanwhile, the Republican Party's decades long battle to outlaw sex-for-pleasure, restrict it to the purpose of procreation and, oh why not, might as well outlaw contraception, oral and anal sex along the way has finally produced a glorious victory for them thanks to your and the Repub Party's lord and savior, Donald J. Trump.
With a huge, irreplaceable assist from Moscow Mitch, of course.
It is now official; nobody is more responsible for dealing a literal death blow to a million (and counting) USA citizens, sex-for-pleasure, oral and anal sex, both of which fall in the category of "sodomy" in some penal codes and will most surely be targeted by the Pious Repub SCOTUS majority sooner or later, mongering and international travel for business, tourism and, well, mongering than your lord and savior and his slavishly devoted Repub Party.
LOL. Good one!
Thank you for your vote.

The Generic Ballot polls are back to a 2 point statistical tie between Democrats and Republicans for this year's midterms with the trend moving toward a tie / advantage for Democrats and a whole bunch of decisive "Not Sure"s probably just now learning about that Outlaw Sex-For-Pleasure thingy and likely Outlaw Contraception thingy on the way championed by the same Party whose policies and stewardship produced every major economic downturn, none of the boom times and all of the major Bear Market Crashes of the past 100 years up for grabs:

Toss out a typically ultra winger Rasmussen or Trafalgar poll or two and we'd probably be looking at a consensus Democrat advantage already.
Moscow Mitch is probably having a fit trying to figure out how to get their Classic Repub Orange Frankenstein Monster to stuff his pie hole with Putin or Xi dick again and STFU.

Net result: Trump won. 3:1 majority members on this thread believes "Donald Trump would have been a much better POTUS now than Joe Biden". Let's respect each others' points of views, not point trying to prove others are wrong. PLUR (Peace Love Unity Respect).
