See, that's what the supporters of the one-term, twice-impeached, former POtuS always get wrong. Every time the Orange Doofus said "I'm not going to wear a mask", his dumber-than-dogshit supporters said "I won't wear a mask either". Every time the Mango Mussolini said "Inject disinfectant and shove a lightbulb up your ass", his idiotic supporters thought "Yep, that's what I'll do". Every time the Orange Buffoon said anything negative about COVID, his moronic followers believed every word he said. This was compounded, of course, by the complicit rightwingnut media who promoted every cockamamie idea that came down the pike. "The vaccine contains microchips", "The vaccine doesn't work", "Ivermectin works" et cetera.
The simple fact that the US has a higher death rate from COVID that virtually every other first world country in the world proves that Donnie the Dumbass screwed up our response.
President Biden's main failing was thinking that every moronic Republican would actually get vaccinated or wear a mask or socially distance or do any of the things that socially responsible people do. He failed to realize that Republicans preferred dying to doing what was right for the rest of the citizens of the US. Any Dem could have told him that Republicans wouldn't do what was right. Unfortunately he had too much faith in them. Donnie didn't, of course, because he said more than once that he loved the uneducated.

Diseases suppressed during Covid are coming back in new and peculiar ways
https://www.cnbc.com/2022/06/10/flu-...ndroidappshare
Weve never seen a flu season in the U.S. extend into June, Dr. Scott Roberts, associate medical director for infection prevention at Yale New Haven Hospital, told CNBC Tuesday.
Covid has clearly had a very big impact on that. Now that people have unmasked, places are opening up, were seeing viruses behave in very odd ways that they werent before, he said.
And flu is just the beginning.
Hint: For the same reason they would have become a "tradition" after 2020 if they hadn't been a "tradition" already.
If the world were as scrubbed down, sterilized and everyone in it as checked and sanitized as people in an operating room, I suppose mask -wearing would have shown only minimal protection against infection in this regard.
But only between 1918 and 2020.
Then new "traditional" rules applied. And for a very good reason.

Rep. Scott Perry (R-Penn) was one of multiple GOP lawmakers who asked President Trump for pardons given their roles in seeking to unwind the 2020 election results, the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol said in its first hearing Thursday night.
How many baskets would be needed to hold all the GOP votes they tried to "stuff" with that one?

The charges relate to the tainted 9th congressional district election last year in which Republican Mark Harris led in the unofficial vote tally by a margin of about 900 votes over Democrat Dan McCready. But the election results were overturned by the state after an investigation into an absentee ballot operation on Harris' behalf suggested that Dowless had improperly collected and possibly tampered with ballots.

That one actually changed the outcome of an election and required a new election!

Repub so-called potus Trump incited a violent mob to riot, storm the Capitol, attack, maim and kill cops to prevent the official submission of ALL the votes and EC awards in the country.
How does that compare with a bit of ineffectual ballot stuffing by a former state representative?

Ask them if they would have strongly recommended wearing a mask just inches away from an open wound in July 2020 when so-called potus Trump was still in full swing dismissing anyone in the world bother to invent or take a vaccine for Trump's Pandemic virus.
Another swing and a miss by you.

Yeah, I got it, so surgeons wearing masks are customary, tradition without any evidence. And your blaming Trump for the pandemic is also without proven evidence and is a tradition.
And your saying following the science is bullshit too. There were a few anecdotal reports suggesting masks worked but it was never proven they did, and the study PVM cited was that masks "worked" was a fucking joke.
So yeah, I repeat, Trump is responsible for a million Covid deaths and Biden is responsible for none. We got it. It is your tradition, and it is proof that you are fucking nuts.

That's how a good Governor takes care of his people during an inflation crisis. In addition to always no income tax in the state.

And, you say Dems are better than GOP, but this Dems ballot stuffing guilty plea brings Dems at least at the same level as GOP, agreed now?

"the intervention reduced symptomatic seroprevalence by 9.5% (control prevalence = 0.76%; treatment prevalence = 0.68%.
And wearing a mask lowered your chance of testing + for Covid from 0.76% to 0.68%? And you think that is important?
And where does it say masks saved lives?
You just linked a study showing how fucking worthless masks are and were.

And, of course, in the midst of something like Trump's Pandemic, one never knows for certain if you are the infected one today or not. Consequently, everyone in the room needs to wear a mask for the mitigation measure to work as intended.
See, a study that shows someone wearing a mask will still inhale much of whatever is airborne in the room misses the point. But those types love to miss the point. So they cite those studies.
The mask is meant more to reduce the amount of potential bad bugs otherwise exhaled freely and unfiltered into a room, not so much to prevent whatever does get past that mask and into the air from being inhaled by everyone else in the room, masked or not.
Here's an easy way to illustrate how much they miss the point. Well, it ought to be easy:
When doctors and nurses wear masks while performing a surgical procedure, it isn't so much to prevent them from catching something in the air coming out of the open wound they made in the chest of a go-go bar girl getting the boob job today. No, it is more to prevent whatever they might have caught at the pub last night, a cold virus, the flu virus, the measles, chicken pox, whatever, from being expelled directly into the open wound they just made in their patient.
Get it now, guys?

In case after case from 2020, it turns out that Republicans were the ones misbehaving at the ballot box.
