Republican politicians don't even want to let Ukrainian refugees into the US. And if they do eventually pivot, they'll have a hard time explaining how an actual war in Ukraine (where somebody can relocate 500 miles further west into relative safety) is different from MS13 dragging your family outside in the middle of the night, executing the husband then telling the wife that if she doesn't give them her kids, they'll kill every living member of her family.
