Oops, sorry, Mr. Lefetz, you are right. Thailand Tooms is just cherry picking the data.

Gee thanks, Joe.
And there is more in the article with 57 to 66% of the people in the seven swing states saying the economy is not so good / poor.
Who knew that letting in millions of immigrants would cause rents to skyrocket?

Posts: 5447LOL. Brave Stock Market Investers ran in mild panic over that Inflation report
Really funny. After months and months of positive reports and all time record high closes, one Inflation report came in a whole 0. 1 point "higher than expected" and stock market Nervous Nellie's ran for the hills. We'll, not as much as MSM tried to spin it. Actually, the broad market simply swung by a bit less than 1% in a day. Which is not uncommon in an environment of repeated All Time Record Hogh closes. And daily 1% swings up and down are not all that uncommon anytime.

There are some bright spots, such as food prices, though. Household buying power is also up over the past year as wage growth has outstripped inflation.
Luckily, Biden's post-State of the Union Address bump in the polls, which typically pro Repub Mainstream Media worked mightily to convince us did not happen and perhaps even made it worse for Biden ("Don't you want to side with those loveable Repub Winners"? LOL), strongly suggests more and more Americans are realizing it now that they are paying attention, finally catching up to me and my awareness of it, even though they live right there in the neighborhood of my rental property and I live in exciting, sexy Bangkok.

Once again, the people parading in power are disconnected from what is happening on the street.
And this guy Lefetz is a huge Democratic douche.
Now maybe we can have some douche here who lives in a far off land argue why this Democrat is wrong. LOL.
Maybe he is adding up his bill wrong. Maybe you should try substituting animal protein with insect protein and save the planet? The economy is fine Lefetz, and we people living in Thailand know better.
OMG. He must be a bothsider. Yeah, that must be it.
But then there is this when Oliver Anthony's hit song came out that was loved by right wingers.
https://lefsetz.com/wordpress/2023/0...h-of-richmond/
Billy Bragg's answer song would be getting traction, but it's not. "Richmond" is a phenomenon driven by right wing press. Believing it is owning the libs when that is patently untrue. This is what happens when a ranking system is flawed. Sales far outweigh streams on the chart, even though streams are by far the dominant mode of consumption. So truth is not. Buying "Richmond" is akin to texting two dollars to Donald Trump.
If you want wisdom don't look to some ignorant reactionary punk south of Richmond, but someone who knows of what they speak, who is intelligent and can express themselves, who knows you've got to think for yourself. If Oliver Anthony is a leader. Count me out.
End of link.
Can you get more Democratic douche than that? Now what?
We have to go back to the never mind ploy. Never mind about grocery bills.
But Trump blah, blah, blah, MAGA, blah, blah, blah, Qanon, blah, blah, blah, indictments, blah, blah, blah, Fox News, blah, blah, blah.
And if all that fails, write an article stating, Dear Mr. Lefetz, why Trump is responsible for your higher grocery bill.
Do you douches have anything other than that?

Posts: 1112Donnie's "delay, delay, delay" dithering judge Cannon...
Special Counsel Jack Smith, essentially tells the dithering Judge Cannon, to "shit or get off the pot", in the Mar-a-Lago Documents Case.
Judge Aileen Cannon, seems hell bent on assisting Trump, with an acquittal, by using a political ploy, disguised as a judicial legal strategy. As she delays and dithers in the case proceedings, with her bizarre jury instruction direction orders, to both legal counsels, when no trail date or jury as been selected.
Needless to say, Jack Smith, has had enough and is likely to force her hand, if she doesn't rule, he may bring a writ of mandamus against the judge, with the 11th Circuit Appellate courts. If successful, this would be the dithering judge's 3rd time of being "slapped down" by the 11th Circuit Appellate courts and in all likelihood, removed from the case, for her blatant partisan judgements and rulings.
To his credit, Trump is playing Jack Smith and Judge Aileen Cannon as political players and perhaps to a greater extent, on the judicial landscape, that extends all the way to the very top, with a partisan right-wing SCOTUS, that no longer follow the rule of law, but a political ideology.
The Trump-appointed judge is on the verge of being appealed in the former presidents classified documents case. Shes apparently contemplating a Trumpian fringe legal theory.
...
Well, special counsel Jack Smith just filed a devastating response, telling Cannon that he might have to challenge the Trump appointee on appeal if she doesn't get it together.

The seek for removal looks eminent, but again plays in Trump's "delay, delay, delay" tactics. So what is to be done?

Otherwise, what a Classic Repub like Trump would call a "cesspool":
Today's jobs report shows economy added booming 303K jobs in March, unemployment at 3.8%.
April 5, 2023
https://www.usatoday.com/story/money...s/73203899007/
Payroll gains for January and February were revised up by a total 22,000, portraying an even more robust picture of job growth early this year. January's were bumped up from 229,000 to 256,000 while February's were downgraded modestly, from 275,000 to 270,000.
The blockbuster report bolsters the view that the economy is on track for a "soft landing," a scenario in which the Federal Reserve wrestles down inflation without triggering a recession. But the resilient labor market could prompt the Fed to push interest rate cuts to later in the year to ensure inflation is subdued before acting, economists say.
.....
Many Americans, meanwhile, are benefitting because typical pay increases have topped inflation the past year, giving them more purchasing power.
.....
But Goldman Sachs believes a huge influx of immigrants will continue to boost the labor supply and juice hiring this year, noting the number of job openings is still well above the pre-crisis mark. Last month, immigration could have lifted job growth by as much as 50,000 to 290,000, Goldman said.
Still, Repub Party leadership, rank and file members and voters are pining for the days when their beloved Repub so-called potuses searched for and embraced any and every "Once in 100 Years" economic and / or national security disaster to plunge us into another and another and another Great Repub Depression, Great Repub Recession, Massive Repub Jobs Destruction and Great Repub Stock Market Crash in order to "feel" that MAGA is really producing the Repub Party results it was born to produce over and over and over and over again whenever the American electorate is sucker, foolish and careless enough to give them the slightest opportunity and leverage to do it.

Posts: 1112Speaking of Republican Cheats...
Brian Pritchard, in the state of Georgia, the Republican first vice-chairman, claimed that the 2020 election was plagued with voter fraud.
He knew this to be true, because typical of Repub cheaters (just like his "savior" Trump), he was projecting and committing voter fraud, himself. The very thing he was accusing the opposition Dems of doing, he was violating in spades.
But this guy went to the extremes and committed voter fraud 9x times. Brian Pritchard, knowingly committed voter fraud and voted nine (9x) times, while on probation for felony check forgery sentence and ONLY got a $5,000 fine and receive a public reprimand.
Mar 29th, 2024 A Republican official claimed that the 2020 election was plagued with voter fraud. Now a judge has ruled that he voted illegally 9 times. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-b2520675.html
I guess when the "penalty bar" for Repubs, committing voter fraud 9x times, is this low, it's no wonder, they don't hesitate to commit such felonies and are the ones caught doing the wide majority of ACTUAL voter fraud.

In a pretty accurate depiction of ex-President lying, cheating and fudging his golf game to win, by any and all means, Mr. Reilly, tells us, how Trump's golf game, mirrors the ex-President's real life crooked shenanigans, grifting, dishonesty, fraudulent behavior and lies at any cost, to win.
In a interview with Deadline White House (Mar 26th, 2024):
https://www.msn.com/en-ca/video/spor...ub/vi-BB1kAeeZ
"Nicole, I've always said, golf is like bicycle shorts...it reveals a lot about a guy"
"Trump doesn't just cheat at golf. He cheats like a 3-card monte dealer. He throws it, boots it, and moves it. He lies about his lies, He fudges, and foozles and fluffs."I dont know much about politics, but I know golf and it really offended me, not as a voter or as a citizen just as a golfer."...he took seven mulligans and a "Gimme Chip-in", I've never even heard of "Gimme Chip-in"
https://www.msnbc.com/deadline-white...-1470201923662
You might be thinking, What does golf have to do with being president? What does it matter that he cheats at it? What's it got to do with leading the country? Everything
If you'll cheat to win at golf, is it that much further to cheat to win an election? To turn a Congressional vote? To Stop an investigation? ...
If Trump, becomes "dictator for a day", I wonder if the number of "holes-in-one", he'll claim, will beat that of Kim Jong-il, the former leader of North Korea, who reportedly shot, "11 holes-in-one in a single round", during his first ever golf game at the Pyongyang Golf Course in 1994. (...is it any wonder why, Trump loves dictators ...kkkk!)

Posts: 1112A week of the entitled arrogant cry baby billionaire class...
What a week of cry baby billionaires, from Trump, Kevin O'Leary to Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), disgustingly claim "victimhood" as they decry, there were "no victims" in their fraudulent crimes. Bemoaning how the public has no idea, how hard it is, to defraud people and make it look like a "victimless" crime. Not to mention, how "unfair" they've all been being treated...boo-hoo!
Poodle billionaire and Trump lapdog, Kevin O'Leary, was blustering and blathering on about Trumps flagrantly and gross R/E "over-evaluation" tax dodge, seen as characterizing this criminal behavior as a victimless crime and proudly states, "...everything you've just listed off, is done by every R/E developer, everywhere on earth, in every city, this is never ever been prosecuted..."
O'Leary's billionaire arrogance, prompted Jon Stewart, to do a pretty funny comedic bit, saying:

Judge Lewis Kaplan, slams SBF's speech as the worst "self-incriminating" testimony he's seen in his 30 years of his judgeship. Axios: https://www.axios.com/2024/03/28/sam...rison-sentence
Yeah, the fraudulent steal of billions of dollars from tax payers and crypto customers, is ALWAYS victimless AND NEVER a fraudulent crime, in the eyes of entitled billionaire class. But the theft of a less than $30 dollar item at a Walgreens and they demand, the perp to be shot on site.

Definitely a keeper and a great article, to trotting out, for those special moments when you need to "shut up" Repubs, when they're blathering on about their so called "economic success/record."
Nice find, that perfectly mirrors, what you've been telling, so called Rebup ISG economist infidels, about the part 100 years of US economic history.

Posts: 5447An inarguable truth that, lucky you, everyone here already knows.
LOL. This is the unavoidable and inarguable "But The Emperor is Naked" truth in direct opposition to the general poll assertions that seems to finally come up during every Great Repub Depression, Great Repub Recession, Massive Repub Jobs destruction and, as now, every Great Dem Economic Recovery, Great Dem Economic Expansion and Great Dem Jobs Creation.
But but but the Repubs' bullshit pitch that their methods of cutting or ignoring regulations and cutting taxes so everything is FREE and America will be a Deadbeat's Paradice sounds so sweet, doesn't it? LOL. Sure, poll respondents are more likely as not to fall for that bullshit even in the face of every Repub effort towards that end results in the worst economic conditions in history and NONE of the boom times.
Democrats Are Better for the US Economy.
Even those who believe that Democrats, by and large, pursue better economic policies than Republicans have a hard time explaining why the US economy performs so significantly and consistently better under Democratic presidents. But the figures speak for themselves.

Just ask Trump how that feels right about now.
