Obama and now Biden were all about maintaining, strengthening and expanding the Western Alliance / NATO in order to spread democracy around the world, which is anathema to Putin and his subservient puppets Trump, the Republican Party, Tucker Carlson and virtually every "conservative Repub" spokesman in winger media.

As long as Trump was willing to dangle and deny USA military support for budding democracy Ukraine unless its president fabricated dirt on his political opponents, clearly demonstrated indifference to his or any spread of authoritarian dictatorships to prevail over democracies and help him to dismantle the Western Alliance, there was very little work Putin needed to apply to the effort rather than simply wait for Trump and his fellow Repubs to deliver him Ukraine and anything else he wanted on a silver platter.

No so now that he is up against Biden.

So I surmise you are saying that Obama and Biden sending blankets the Ukraine during first Russia war with Ukraine brought democracy to the world?

I watched part of a news program last night and one of the commentators said something that I'd like to share. He said "Everybody has a right to their own opinion but nobody has a right to their own facts. ".

During this time of trump (in other words, since June 16th, 2015 when he announced his candidacy) the far-right has been at war with facts. In fact, I believe it was Donnie's first press secretary who announced that there were "facts" and there were "alternative facts". Most people on the left were incredulous. "Alternative facts? They said, "What exactly are those? Well, everybody knows that "alternative facts" aren't "facts" at all. They are, rather, mis-statements or half-truths or deliberate convolution of events or downright lies.

Or, as the one-term, twice-impeached former guy has famously said "The media is the enemy of the people. " Does the media get everything right all of the time? Nope, not by a long shot.
