Only Moderna would be approved today and that was with Delta. With Omicron, none of the vaccines work. Hell, you have organization after organization with 95+% people vaccinated, and everyone hit with Covid.

As for the Democrat-Republican schtick you are doing: the vaccines Trump developed for alpha corona worked great. Delta and Omicron hit and Biden's response was just bullying people into taking the same vaccines that do not even work by the FDA's definition. Obviously, the vaccine has to be reworked, but Brandon the dummy already bought billions of the worthless vaccines.

It is hilarious to see the response with people and omicron. All the reports are that it is not worse than the flu and people are still freaking out..
Evidently, Elvis has forgotten that the vaccine was developed for the "alpha" version of the virus. Back in late 2020. The virus has mutated through "beta", "gamma" "delta" and "omicron." That's four named variants and god-knows-how-many unnamed variants.

And Elvis, with his Facebook degree in epidemiology and virology, claims the vaccines are worthless. Hey, even your dumber-than-dog-poop former guy said the vaccines work. Oh, Fux "news" didn't report that? Gee, then I guess he didn't really say it.

He, of course, conveniently forgets that there are many deaths due to the omicron variant in Europe. He conveniently forgets that the omicron variant just recently arrived in the US and already an unvaccinated trumper has died from it. Oh, Fux "news" didn't report that? Gee, then I guess it didn't happen. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/tex...ws-2021-12-21/.

The former guy was right. He loves them dumb.

Can you imagine how many out there are preying for Manchin to change his mind or scheming for his undoing?

But it does not matter. The article of the day is here: https://www.salon.com/2010/02/23/democrats_34/.

The author of the article is liberal Glenn Greenwald and he followed up this 12 year old story with this tweet: That it's all Joe Manchin's fault, that the Good and Compassionate Democrats would have done such great things for America's poor and working class if not for this sole Bad Senator, is the game they always play. Here's what I wrote in Salon in *2010 (:

The primary tactic in this game is Villain Rotation. They always have a handful of Democratic Senators announce that they will be the ones to deviate this time from the ostensible party position and impede success, but the designated Villain constantly shifts, so the Party itself can claim it supports these measures while an always-changing handful of their members invariably prevent it. One minute, it's Jay Rockefeller as the Prime Villain leading the way in protecting Bush surveillance programs and demanding telecom immunity; the next minute, it's Dianne Feinstein and Chuck Schumer joining hands and "breaking with their party" to ensure Michael Mukasey's confirmation as Attorney General; then it's Big Bad Joe Lieberman single-handedly blocking Medicare expansion; then it's Blanche Lincoln and Jim Webb joining with Lindsey Graham to support the de-funding of civilian trials for Terrorists; and now that they can't blame Lieberman or Ben Nelson any longer on health care (since they don't need 60 votes), Jay Rockefeller voluntarily returns to the Villain Role, stepping up to put an end to the pretend-movement among Senate Democrats to enact the public option via reconciliation.
You mean like when Repub Senator John McCain broke Trump's heart by giving the repeated Repub effort to repeal and never replace the Affordable Care Act with his thumbs down vote on the repeal? Yeah, no way did anyone in the Repub Party want to be responsible for actually dealing with and being blamed for what would have happened in its absence. So McCain saved the day in the nick of time for his Party.

But BBB is different. For one thing it isn't over. If Manchin knows his poorly educated "conservative" constituents as well as most Repubs do, he knows he can make a big show of opposing it now and then come back to vote for a slightly adjusted version of the same thing and his "conservative" constituents will be too stupid to know it even happened.

And, as great as passing BBB would be for America, Biden and the Dems have already passed more positive results legislation this first year, recovered and expanded the USA economy beyond anything multiple Repub presidencies combined ever did or could do. I mean, how many millions more jobs and how much higher wages should we expect from them in just the first year of the historic gains in the Biden presidency?

Aside from that, it is the Repub Party that stands to be most disappointed if BBB is really over.

Assuming the first midterm election in this new presidency turns out the way most do for the party in the WH and especially for the Dems as is known happens after they pass historically positive legislation destined to be the most revered and appreciated by Americans, the Do Nothing Repubs were donning lobster bibs and licking their lips in anticipation for the Dems to pass such an obviously great for America very long term legislation without a single Repub shouldering any of the heavy lifting or assuming the slightest political risk for it. Then they could swoop in to take control of Congress afterwarss and declare totally unearned and undeserved credit for the spectacularly positive results that would surely follow.

Just like the Do Nothing Repubs always try to do. But a failure of some meaningful version of BBB to pass before November 2022 puts a damper on their pattern.

Go to 5:42 in this video. It is funny to see how a government health "expert" reacts when asked real questions from a reporter.

"We are worried about hospitals being overwhelmed. "

"How many cases of Omicron are in the hospitals?

    "Uh, 10".

    "How many on ventilators?.
You get encouragement to increase your social distancing to slow real and potential outbreaks.

Sounded like the video you linked were two women in Great Britan being catty with each other.

In the genuine, real news yesterday, there were record outbreaks in the states of Maine and New Hampshire.

Those two states had historically record occupancy yesterday.

Their hospitals were filled with Covid-19 patients. So filled that both states are cancelling care to other patients, like a temporary ban or slow down on bypass surgeries.

I don't know which Covid variety is filling up Maine and New Hampshire's Hospitals to full capacity.

But I would be willing to bet that the hospitalized sickies are not vaccinated democrats with breakout infection of the Omicron Variant.

Cause my money bet would be on unvaccinated mandate-fighting morons infected with the Allpha and Delta flavors of Covid.

So what if she wins. An audit will still be required, right? To look for bamboo in the ballots. To make sure that the thermostats didn't change the votes. To make sure of some other cockamamie BS.

Audits are the New Republican way.

    Shit's going down

"Mr. Meadow's testimony will bear on another fundamental question of this committee. And that is whether Donald J. Trump, through action or inaction, corruptly sought to obstruct or impede Congresses official proceedings to count electoral votes. This committee is entitled to Mr. Meadow's testimony and it will inform our legislative judgements. " - Liz Cheneyon December 20,2021.

Other January 6th protesters have already been charged with this same crime.

Only a matter of time until it is TrumpShit's turn.

We all will be watching from legitimate news sources.

Meanwhile, empty suit Florida Repub Governor Trump Wannabe Ron DeSantis blathers the usual Repub "hominahominahomina" non answer word salad when he is asked the simple Yes or No question, "Did you get the booster shot?" lolol. Such courageous leadership.

Naturally, they would all get boo'd for suggesting getting a vaccine shot since the creation of vaccines and getting one is the exact opposite of what Trump tried to convince the world to do for the near entirety of critical year 2020 when he was busy producing Trump's Pandemic.

Anybody really think Biden would get boo'd by a roomful of Dems for admitting he got the booster shot even if they were all African American Dems? How about California Governor Gavin Newsom?

How much of a ratings decline do you suppose FUX News Channel would suffer if its fake news fake news anchors all admitted they got the booster shot, which by now they all probably did? No chance MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC or CBS news anchors would have a problem admitting they did.

Repubs hate when their favorite new method for "Owning The Libs" is weakened by their Repub leaders; the act of committing Suicide By Trump's Pandemic Virus right before our very eyes! LOL.
When the former guy said he liked' them stupid, he was probably making a joke. But nobody, and I mean nobody, could have foretold how correct he was.

He couldn't have done a better job of conning his cult if he would've tried.

He was told by the scientists (people with real, not Facebook, degrees) that masking was important. He then, by example, told the cult not to wear them. He was aided in this, of course, by the rightwingnut propaganda outlets who, at the same time, were requiring staffers to be masked. Con job!

He was told by those same scientists (the one's with the real degrees not the fake ones) that other measures could help buy time so hospitals could "ramp up". He then told states to open back up. He was aided in this, of course, by the rightwingnut propaganda outlets who, at the same time, told their viewers that the "buying time" thing was bogus. Con job!

He had vaccines developed then ordered the cult not to take them by means of the talking heads at Fux "news" and the rest of the rightwingnut propaganda outlets. Fux "news" even mandates vaccines or daily testing. So while the talking heads are close to 100% vaccinated and boosted, the rank-and-file cultists are only 50% vaccinated and even fewer are boosted. Con job!

And at the cult-and-ego-fest in Dallas, the great con artist was boo'ed when he suggested that his cultists should get vaccinated and boosted like him. He said, in essence, "Get vaccinated so that you can live and vote Republican in the 2022 mid-terms and vote multiple times for me in 2024." When the cultists boo'ed him, were they really saying "Once we own the libs by dying, we'll vote from the grave?"

I am old enough to remember the slogan "Better dead than Red". The wingers have changed the slogan to "Better dead than vaccinated."

Was Forrest Gump talking about wingers when he said "Stupid is as stupid does"?

    My error.

These were year 2020 polling and election results.

I really don't know, from a lack of current polling information, how solid her re-election chances are, or if she plans to retire and not seek re-election in 2022.

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan said in 2018 he decided not to run for re-election so he could spend more time with his children.

At the time he denied his decision was related to the prospect of Democrats winning a House majority, which they did after the country tasted TrumpShit.

Ryan argued the GOP had a "great record" and "great economy" to run on in November.

    November 2018.
