If people can congregate outside (the northern tier states in the summer and the southern tier states in the winter), the likelihood of getting infected is less.

And no vaccine, ever, has had no breakthrough infections. They happen with every vaccine. Any epidemiologist can tell you that some viruses mutate faster than others. And any virus mutates faster of there are hordes of unvaccinated dummies, like there are in the US.

And that is the case with COVID. Republicans by the thousands are refusing to get vaccinated, thus causing the virus to mutate faster.

It's been shown time and again through data services that red states with few exceptions lead the way in infection and death rates per 100 K population since the start of the pandemic. And of course we all know that Republicans make up the lion's share of vaccine holdouts, and many proudly so. It's also been noted that vaccines usually aren't magic bullets, are effective but not 100% so while many require boosters. And anyone with 1/4 of a brain knows temporary weather related case surges are normal. I live in Aliso Viejo, California.

The State of California knows both my political party affiliation and my vaccination status. Probably thousands of state workers and contractors likely have access to that information.

The County of Orange knows both my political party affiliation and my vaccination status. Probably just hundreds of state workers and contractors likely have access to that information.

Dozens of people associated with the City of Aliso Viejo, if they were interested, could probably get information on my political party affiliation and my vaccination status.

This despite my owning and using a shredder at home for personal documents I throw away from time to time.

When the nurse gave me the shot she did not ask me if I was democrat or Republican. When I left no one knew my party affiliation. Authorities have arrested and charged three residents of a Florida retirement community for allegedly casting more than one ballot in the 2020 election, multiple outlets reported on Tuesday. Joan Halstead, Jay Ketcik, and John Rider all face a third-degree felony charge for their votes, which could land them in prison for up to five years.

Its unknown which candidate they favored, but Halstead and Ketcik are both registered Republicans, The Orlando Sentinel reported (Rider does not have a register party affiliation). The retirement community where the trio lived, The Villages, is also a well-known MAGA hub, and pro-Trump material has reportedly appeared on Facebook pages appearing to belong to Ketcik, Halstead, and Rider.
