Nobody can improve on the following voter system: 1. Register to vote with ID proving that you are a citizen. 2. Show up at the polling booth on election day. 3. Show ID to prove you are who you claim to be, and to maintain election integrity. 4. Vote in secret in a private booth on a paper ballot with no identifying marks showing who it came from .5. At the end of the day, all votes are collected and counted in batches by hand by teams of two counters (1 R, 1 D) who must both sign off on the result of their batch. Monitors from all parties are permitted to walk freely around the count at all times and scrutinize any disputed ballots.

Most countries around the world conduct elections as above. No need whatsoever for dubious "mail-in" ballots, machine-counting, transmitting data round the world with wacky algorithms, Republican observers being barred from counts in democrat ghettos. All of these and more are simply camouflage for fraud. For obvious reasons, no leftist can explain why most other democracies conduct elections as I described, and yet why America should not.

What "everyone knows" is a completely different point than how, why, by whom and for whom the Electoral College system was set up. "debate and compromise" might sounds like a noble endeavor in this regard as long as you ignore the detail that many natural born USA citizens at the time, particularly those most likely adversely effected by it, only had 3/5 of a vote and I doubt they had a major input on that "debate and compromise", if any at all.

You don't need to change it to eliminate the intrinsic anti-democratic cheating aspect of it. You can just replace it with something else, as many states have already done:

The only verifiable voter fraud in the 2020 election was when Donald Trump told his supporters they "should vote twice!" and 2-3 other Repubs who voted on behalf and in place of their dead Repub parents.

I think it is entirely plausible that hundreds of thousands of Trump's slavishly obedient supporters did indeed follow his directive to "vote twice!" Which would explain why he got as many votes as he did this time around (but still not enough to win) and why his Repub Party gained a few seats in the House.

If that was the case then the democrats would be pushing for voter ID to stop voter fraud but that is not the case. They are doing everything in their power even leaving the state to mss as he sure they can continue to cheat in the future. Republicans aren't cheaters but the democrats proved they are.
