What "everyone knows" is a completely different point than how, why, by whom and for whom the Electoral College system was set up. "debate and compromise" might sounds like a noble endeavor in this regard as long as you ignore the detail that many natural born USA citizens at the time, particularly those most likely adversely effected by it, only had 3/5 of a vote and I doubt they had a major input on that "debate and compromise", if any at all.

You don't need to change it to eliminate the intrinsic anti-democratic cheating aspect of it. You can just replace it with something else, as many states have already done:

The fact that inarguably the 2 worst presidents of all time who produced the worst results across the board on every important issue, George W. Bush and Donald J. Trump, were inflicted on the country after having lost the vote but still squeaked through on a razor thin Electoral College "win" gives immeasurable strength and legitimacy to the ongoing movement to override the Electoral College system.

Electrical college did produce the two worse presidents in history. Carter and Obama. Carter ruined the economy. Obama promoted racism and tried to destroy USA. Unfortunately the electoral college got Biden elected who already is proving to be the worst president ever. Can you believe that Biden is actually worse than Obama? In 6 months USA is in serious decline. Crime is out of control, drugs are pouring into USA, human trafficking at its highest level, small businesses crushed by govt policies to benefit big companies, high gas prices, record inflation. Getting back in Paris Accord. Biden is a wreck and if you heard him talk on CNN on his town hall this week you know he can't put a sentence together if it isn't on prompter.

Even democrats are starting to want Trump back. History will prove that Trump was one of the better presidents in history. Without a doubt Biden will be the worse.

I think it is entirely plausible that hundreds of thousands of Trump's slavishly obedient supporters did indeed follow his directive to "vote twice!" Which would explain why he got as many votes as he did this time around (but still not enough to win) and why his Repub Party gained a few seats in the House.

If that was the case then the democrats would be pushing for voter ID to stop voter fraud but that is not the case. They are doing everything in their power even leaving the state to mss as he sure they can continue to cheat in the future. Republicans aren't cheaters but the democrats proved they are.

The modern left don't just hate the voting system: they hate the anthem, the flag, the constitution (they want to destroy the First Amendment in order to throw people into gulags for hate speech / thoughtcrime, and of course their intention to destroy the Second Amendment is well-known), and indeed the heritage American population.

In a nutshell, they hate America. So why not let them create their own country, with the rainbow flag, yakkety-sax anthem, no free speech, no guns, open borders unlimited third world immigration, unlimited gibsmedats, affirmative action, 100% vegan food, "green" energy, and see how they get on.
