Canada once again shows his complete ignorance about any subject. Communism is the ownership of the means of production by the people. A bit like corporations but more towards cooperatives vs socialism which is the means of production owned by the state. It could be said that communist government is nothing other than one-party rule, in a situation where no other parties can be permitted to exist, except as controlled opposition. One could argue that Florida isn't a disaster with COVID, but can only look like a fool if they say it's successful as the poster you replied to implied. The best models are found outside the US, in places like Taiwan, Thailand, New Zealand, and Australia. And though policy is important, the key is compliance. The former doesn't mean two shits without the latter.

Sadly Trump is a crook. Some of his cronies like Roger Stone and Michael Flynn committed serious crimes and needed to be charged. Actually the Democratic Party has overseen many successful capitalist economies in recent decades. That would include the dot com boom with balanced federal budget during the Clinton years, and economic revival from the Great Recession under Obama. Your typical Democrat is similar to your typical Republican, as they both advocate a mixed economy with both free market and socialist principles. Examples of the latter would be Medicare, public education, student loans, and anti-trust laws. In a word you are a mediocre at best red baiter, as you lack knowledge of even the basics.

That said, Trump wasn't a Communist, nor was he a Fascist in my view. The existence of some similarities doesn't mean the label fits. Tossing out such buzz words is for people that want to make a splash but lack understanding of the concepts they are talking about. They are also used by politicians that know better, but still use them to win votes from people like you that don't know better. Trump was essentially an autocrat wannabe that tested the restraints applied by our democracy at every turn. Autocracy by the way is fundamental in both Fascism and Communism in practice.
