To offer a few recommendations:

1. Different emails are free and plentiful. Keep your "real life" profiles separate from your Lurking profiles. If someone pretty asks to inbox you on your regular FB, or other program, just deny and move on.

2. They use fake profiles so should you. Keep your real life private. You can make a slew of Google or other email addresses to provide to those sites to register. If you will put up a profile pic, make sure it's not one you use on your normal accounts.

3. Dual sim phones, I can't stress enough. Keep the numbers and worlds private. I'm using a Samsung and they have a nice app that lets you set up a complete private portion where you can have your off-name FB, WA and other accounts. With a dual sim you can use that number, or try something like Hushed which will let you register WA. I have two WA accounts on my phone. One for everyday use, and the other for lurking.

4. Sending money. This is where they will get you. You can chat on Meet Me as anonymous all you want but when your break down and want to remit money, you will have to use your real name unless there is a way that one can send without giving up too much info. You'll also find out that all of a sudden their name will have changed when you get ready to submit, or they are "black balled" from Western Union. If that's the case, you should seriously think twice about showing your manhood online.

I'm sure that there are many more ways to make sure you are safe lurking. Just take it easy and be careful. If you are one who doesn't care what your family and friends see you do, then go right ahead. But if you want to stay in the shadows, pick up a few tricks to keep you safe.
