Mactan, Lapu, Batangas, Davao, Surigao??

I was thinking of Davao but was warned not to go there by a Filipino, said its safe but foreigners do get targeted even there. Also saw a youtube channel on Cagayan de Oro but that falls under the same warning as Davaos. Surigao doesn't seem to have any major malls but might still work. I was looking at Batangas, ferry ride would put you right on some nice beaches in Puerto Galera and they have a decent mall. Only issue would be the ride to the Manila airport if one wanted to do some traveling. Oddly Roxas city might be an option, airport is right near the beach and some nice size malls with some cheap flights to the Manila airport.

Now it would be hard to just give up the hobby cold turkey but if I found the right one with looks, attitude and a small family who knows what might happen.

Its pretty obvious the larger cites have the women and the apartment living lifestyle with the malls and the traffic and the beaches can be reached in an hour or two drive.

Dumaguete has many of these but heavy traffic and poor beaches. Panglao Island seems to have everything but the mall.

As a foreigner you would want to live close to a city if you continue the hobby of mongering. Do not want nosy neighbors which will happen if you live outside in the country. Also you do not want to be a target because of Philippine mindset of all foreigners are rich.

Philippines is group of islands and beaches are everywhere. You are better off living in an apartment with security rather than single house. Also being around cities will give you opportunity to catch a plane faster.

You are spot on in your assessment! I tend to agree with 95% of what you say, but there may be a small sliver of some that are 40% honest and willing to work with someone. But you are 100% correct on the hotel / vacation piece. I did meet one who was supposedly an office worker but was there chatting for social reasons, but if you kept talking with her the "inner" hustler would eventually come out.

In the end, it's all the same. If you aren't doing it online with them, even when you make a trip there you are only there for a week out of 365 days a year. So they are going to be doing something while you are not there or even while you are there and you call yourself hitting a side piece while they are doing the same thing.

Traffic in Mactan and Lapu is terrible. Cebu traffic has got much worse in the intervening years. Surigao I don't think has a decent mall (if any).

But I like Cebu as has all you need plus beaches can be driven to not walked to. If you like Cebu area try Danao, Bogo, Carmen as the latter has a good marina and maybe find a boar to live on instead. Just the mall is 45 ins away and driving from Carmen to Ayala can be frustrating. Depends what is more important (beach or mall or semi city living).

You're correct but I don't think you tell the full story. I think the lockdown has brought out many girls who don't fit the traditional mold of poor girl seeking a white whale.
