As an avid hater of winter I am planning my future winter getaways. So far I have had to bring my own companion on my short trips close to home such as DR and Mexico. Middle class and upper middle class Filipinos / Filipinas got there through nepotism, political connections, bribery, corruption, tax evasion and other unethical business practices. We are not sure if you've been to the Philippines before, but let me tell you that Filipinas in the 40+ age group are generally fat and ugly. I'm not sure why, but Filipinas rapidly decline in physical appearance between the ages of 30 to 40. They just look haggard. Maybe it's because the ones we come across in Mongerland are all dirt poor slum dwellers who don't have access to proper nutrition, health care, beauty products, exercise regimes or maids to do their work. Hahaha. Life is hard when you've got a million kids and are also looking after your daughters' six kids. If you've ever seen a photo or video of a Filipinas house in provinces, you will notice two things. The walls will be green and there will be 20 kids under the age of 5 running around.

Now back to your vacation planning. You are selling yourself short. Many slim, pretty 23-year olds from the same slums as their aunts, would be most happy to accept your assignment. Just be clear that you are hiring her as a tour guide / cook / companion and will pay her a monthly salary.
