I'm not too concerned about the extra airfare expense, mainly the talent level.

We spend thousands at times to get here but then quibble over a trike tip or paying the girl extra, and don't worry about the quality (though beauty is in the eye of the beholder for sure).

FWIW I have never found the talent in AC great is why I only go there for a party maybe as prefer other places.

I'd suggest the AC advantages are:

More likely flight will arrive close to schedule and you will clear the airport faster. Transfer to hotel quicker.

AC has better value for.

Nightly hotel cost.

Nightly girl cost.

Intrabar travels.

Another consideration is to take a girl with you on your AC. Manila trip. It's not wasted time.

Not my first time using Cebu Pacific and Air Asia, I understand the ins and outs of prepaying for baggage. CP from HKG to Angeles was in the $120 range after buying baggage then Manila to Bangkok was another $120 on Thai airways (the cheapest). So that being said its $220 plus a taxi to Manila vs a questionable booking on Vayama for $169 just for Manila on Philippines airlines. Is Angeles worth the extra $100 in travel expenses?

It depends on how much $100 is worth to you! Not to anyone else.

Bought roundtrip tickets using airmiles for next March flying into Hong Kong and then out of Bangkok, nice month long trip. Have to buy a flight from Hong Kong or Macau. I've run the numbers and a flight to Bangkok runs in the $140 range. Found a deal on Vayama for a multi city flight from Hong Kong to Manila, Manila to Bangkok for $169 ($269 on the airlines website). Hong Kong to Angeles city, Manila to Bangkok is around $210. Plenty of options. I've heard traffic is best on Sundays so I was thinking of flying out on a Sunday, this would give me 6 days on the ground in the Philippines. There's even a Macau to Pattaya flight for $140 that would allow me to check out a Macau sauna for the day into the early evening but it lands in Pattaya at midnight. I am undecided if Angeles is worth a visit on such a short stay. I've never been to either city but I could play it by ear and head to Manila if I find the talent lacking.
