I'm with The Rose on this. It's not clear what you mean by do-gooders, but if you mean NGO workers, I don't think they care about individuals like us. They care about trafficking systems.

My only experiences in which my visa matters is with immigration officials asking me why I was in the Philippines when I return. I tell them I was there on business, and I give them just enough description of my work to get a nod from the official. I can't imagine immigration officials caring about individual sex tourists. They care about intercepting illegal immigrants and those who traffic in people, money, gems, drugs, and so on. I could be wrong; if anybody has evidence that's different than this, I would alter my travel behaviors.

Who doesn't go overseas with a view to hooking up with somebody? It's the old biological itch. Then, too, there are places where prostitution is legal. I don't think that the FBI will try to prosecute someone for diddling a Canadian pro or for that matter a Vegas ho when she is working legally.

I don't think there is any problem with leaving the country to get laid. The problem is when the girl is under age.

He mentioned his days traveling around the world meeting girls from the old catalogue of pics and description. When I mentioned that wasn't done anymore, he loudly (in a restaurant) called "Bullsh*t!" And: "I can get a Filipina from a catalogue and have her here in a month's time on a marriage visa". Really. Here in Illinois? "Yes"!

Perhaps you're not aware of the TV show, "90 Day Fiance. " I don't watch it, but from a friend who does watch I've heard that various episodes involve Filipinas.

This is a message for the old timer mongers to the Philippines. Now we haven't had internet chat rooms per se for over 20 years and everyone I know stopped writing letters with a pen and paper 30 years ago. Therefore the title of this thread is a little outdated.

Do the older Philippines veterans remember the times they were actually in those virtual chat rooms chatting with Filipinas who might have been at a Internet cafe? After meeting them in the general chat area, did you guys then take the more heated sexual discussions to the private chat room? How did it work? Did you then tell them to meet you at a certain date / time / place to fuck them? Not too many Filipinas had phones back then, so how did it all work?

As for actual pen pals, did any of you mongers actually correspond with Filipinas by snail mail? I've heard of mongers marrying Filipinas after a sending them two letters, hence the term mail order bride. Did you find these Filipinas through a dating agency in your own country? I'm thinking for a mongering holiday, it would have been too easy to just go to the bars back then.

Not the PI but I can remember offering the girls translation services for love letters that they received. Many were from hopeless romantics that were including cash to 'keep them out of the bar'. Most seem to have met in bars and continued from there while John was back home. One guy did sweep up and marry a hard core bar girl after I took her on a 2 week holiday. I think it was a combination of jealousy and saviour complex on his part.

Remember that mongering was far less plentiful then. No discount airfares made travel much more expensive and harder to organise. Most were either expats or vets.

I just paid the subscription with PL. I even did not upload the photos. I could get at least 10 contacts now.

One need to be careful about the age though. I now a days put minimum of age 20 + to filter through.

It has had "free chatting" for a long time. But you are allowed one message every 10 minutes.

Some of those "popular members" can't be accessed free off the website, but are freely available on phone apps (or v / v). Have had similar experience with girls who "no longer exist" or who have "blocked me".

Virtually every girl has automatically been a popular member and blocked from message though there was always a workaround. On the Pinalove app they just don't show in the search.
