Bought roundtrip tickets using airmiles for next March flying into Hong Kong and then out of Bangkok, nice month long trip. Have to buy a flight from Hong Kong or Macau. I've run the numbers and a flight to Bangkok runs in the $140 range. Found a deal on Vayama for a multi city flight from Hong Kong to Manila, Manila to Bangkok for $169 ($269 on the airlines website). Hong Kong to Angeles city, Manila to Bangkok is around $210. Plenty of options. I've heard traffic is best on Sundays so I was thinking of flying out on a Sunday, this would give me 6 days on the ground in the Philippines. There's even a Macau to Pattaya flight for $140 that would allow me to check out a Macau sauna for the day into the early evening but it lands in Pattaya at midnight. I am undecided if Angeles is worth a visit on such a short stay. I've never been to either city but I could play it by ear and head to Manila if I find the talent lacking.
