If a girl tells you she's turning 18 , you best be super careful. Lots of info on this site about scams. The girl tells you she's 18, gets to your room, she texts a number. 20 minutes later mom and police arrive, they tell you she is only 16. You will be drained of all your cash in a legal heartbeat. Ignore the turning 18 or go with it, totally at your own risk.

Forget the waffle about getting out of a relationship etc. These girls are there to bonk you in exchange for money. They are not looking for a relationship unless they sense you are a total novice and newbie. Then they will spin you a story about having to work and soon you will be their Western Union *****. Bonk them then slap their pwet as they exit, then go out and find the next!

Only problem if some situation arises is the fact, if you stay in hotels, reception in most cases will want to see your passport and your real life name will be presented to them. For Hi end hotels its mandatory. Never did like it.

In room be alert to remove bag tags from your suitcase, boarding cards etc you bin (they also will show your real name). I was confronted myself after a toilet visit when my bring in (girl) stood with my boarding card and asked who is Mr Xyz. Just saying.

I rarely check in to the hotel with a girl in tow, the few times I have I simply told the girl to take a seat somewhere away from the reception desk while I check in. I remember once the check in counter girl had noticed I walked in the front door with somebody else and tried to tell me she needed to be added to the room. When I told the check in girl that the scantily clad girl sitting in a chair out of earshot would only be staying an hour and not the night, therefore no need to be added, the check in chick turned bright red and was much more embarrassed than I was.

I also made the boarding pass mistake once. She took it well as I gave her a small tip and I never made that mistake again. Pretty much everything about my MO has been learned the hard way.

I go one step further, I have a 'burner' identity, name / job / country everything. The girls have no idea. When my second phone gets turned off, I am a ghost.

FB is so invasive even with all the privacy settings maxed out that I end up 'disabling' it between uses & avoid using it as much as possible.

My FB page doesn't have my phone number, and I have no problems communicating.

When I did try putting my number in ("for greater security" they claimed?) It meant I was getting SMS / TXT messages for notifications, as well as directly to my FB page, I didn't need that.

Well Mr. X I am not sure what to make of your story but I do appreciate what you did as it requires a big heart to do what you did. Whether it was a smart thing to do, now that is something we can debate on but each one to his own, you gut said it was a genuine case and you helped out, good for you.

Well in my case I just did not feel that it was a genuine cry for help, I was confident that she was just trying to scam the way the whole thing went.

I do see her regular on Pinalove, maybe I should share her handle with you and see how it goes, just for fun let's see what happens. Also next time if I need help I am surely messaging you. LOL.

Oh, why so skeptical? I had a gal who asked for help immediately after the big Leyte / Samar / North Cebu disaster typhoon. Her house was completely destroyed. They needed food.

As you look around there are many pawn shops in Phil. I remember a girl that would pawn her "gold" necklace every other month for P500. That 2 k necklace probably ended up costing her 5 k over a short life time of pawning.

I remember a taxi driver in Davao telling me his wife ran a sari sari store out of their house. The BIR caught up with him and he borrowed 5/6 each month to pay the monthly fee. He didn't have enough for the yearly fee which would have been much cheaper.
