After a long hiatus, I decided to go on PL to see what the situation is. I know it's totally pointless collecting contacts now with no possible opening date, but I bought the 1-month subscription for $32 south sea pesos and gave it a whirl. Here is my review.

I will preface this by saying that the main objective for mongers using dating sites is really just to get the girls' phone numbers. This is so that when you get to Flipsville, you can call them up, meet them at your hotel and then fuck them for 2,000 peso overnight. It should not be treated as anything more than that. Try and avoid incessant chatter which lasts more than a day or two and building up their expectations unnecessarily. It is cruel. They will very quickly profess their love for you and it will drain you emotionally. Most of the girls on PL will fuck you if you are respectful and treat them nicely. You don't need to ask. It's just understood that if she agrees to come to your hotel (most will) then sex is on the menu. She's certainly not going to your room to pray. I'm not sure how many lonely white men actually meet their future wives on PL, but it would be a miniscule percentage.

Now for the review.

1. Overall the app is less clunky than before. Maybe the Thai owners of the site decided to spend some money in development to make it easier to use. There's plenty of Indian IT boys wandering around BKK without much to do. Might as well put them to work. There is a quick yes / no button like Tinder now to rapidly screen through 500 LBFMs in 10 minutes.

2. Before, you needed to search by province in the pull-down menu. So if you didn't know that Angeles City was in Pampagna, or Subic was in Zambales, you were totally fucked. Now you need to type in the area you want to search. In any case, you need to have the atlas open in front of you. For the convenience of first time users, they automatically point you to Manila or Cebu where most of the action is. Fail proof.

3. Most of the girls, like 80%, are hideous looking creatures, just like before. Farrk, I've never seen a bunch of uglier looking people in one place in my life. I'm being generous if I say that most girls are in the 2 or 3 range. With beer goggles, they might be a 4. By anyone's standards, you would not want to be seen with them, let alone rip their panties off.

4. There are a lot fewer girls now on PL than 12 months ago – maybe 30-40% less. Many have hocked their phones to ward off starvation, can't afford the load without an income stream or there is no internet back at the banana plantation.

5. Some of the hotter girls were advertising "Pinoy Only". They are pragmatic that foreigners are not going to turn up anytime soon. Might as well target rich locals than waste effort with a fat white kuntt who is a time waster.

6. Hot looking girls, in the 7-9 range, were proactively approaching me. Never happened before. I used the same profile photo.

7. I never ask them for nude photos. I'm not really interested. They absolutely hate being asked for nudes, so if you want to get their numbers, resist the urge to ask for nekkid shots. I can download a million images of naked, hot LBFMs on the internet for free, so I don't really need a nude photo of an ugly chick to jerk off to.

8. In the text, I wrote that I was "God Fearing". Girls love that. I also added the words "Let's build our empire together", after noting that three separate girls I knew always talked about building an empire. I think they watch too much Korean TV. Hahaha. They love that sort of shit.

9. I looked around the Pampagna region and noticed that the same old, tired looking hookers were still there from last year. Most of the girls from AC who advertise on PL are hard core hookers. Best to avoid.

10. Cebu seemed to have the largest number of doable chicks. All seemed friendly and up for it.

Now what could possibly go wrong you ask? Well everything. Just grabbing 100 WhatsApp or Viber numbers off LBFMs before landing in Flipsville guarantees you jackshit. A million things go can wrong:

1. She's lost her phone, hocked her phone, has no load or has changed her number before you arrive. Goodbye.

2. She gets cold feet and doesn't want to meet (quite common in the provinces). Goodbye.

3. She wants to meet you in the company of a chaperone (usually her fat, ugly cousin). Goodbye.

4. She's on her period. Goodbye.

5. She arrives and looks nothing like her photos. Too bad, just take one for the team.

6. She arrives and is a nervous wreck. Just awestruck and is totally overwhelmed. Goodbye.

7. She agrees, but arrives 4 hours late. Goodbye.

I reckon you've got a 25% chance of converting after you actually get her number, hence the need for 100 prospects.

Viber is more common use in PH than WhatsApp.

1/ her phone plan gives cheap or even free access to a particular app. Common with FB Messenger.

2/ she's more familiar with one app and can't be bothered to learn another. Maybe all her friends use that app too.

3/ she's new at the game, has only one number and keeps one app for dirty old men and another for her social circle. She knows whether to answer or not just by seeing what app is calling or messaging.

4/ more maliciously, skype is easier for 3rd party oversights, video and speaker to be different etc.

My experience is different to DG. I'd put WhatsApp as the most popular for the girls we are chasing. I don't even worry about trying to find girls on other apps. I never seem to be able to find the correct Mary in Cebu from 1000 choices on FB. Give me a unique identifier or don't bother.

Skype is good for not giving out a phone number. I think it may be pretty heavy usage for them. I often give out a dud skype ID I use much like a spam filter. Giving out a phone number can be hell unless you block and repeat.

Looking at some tech sites, Viber seems to beat wattspap. But I use wattsapp every say and have not used viber in well over a year.

The love of your life may well have things compartmentalised for her own good reasons.
