Just to reiterate what you are saying:
Many 50 + guys hook up with and even marry 20 year olds and AT THAT TIME it seems to be OK all round.
But they forget to add on 15 - 20 years. The guy is 65 - 70 and probably having a few health issues as well as taking Vitamin V every day to keep up with his 35 -40 year old who is in her prime sexual years.

Many of the girls on DIA and AFF are in this situation. A number have told me so.

I think 20 years max is good if you want the relationship to last without divorce (in the USA anyway). I will be 56 soon and would be embarrassed to have a 20 year old wife and I look young for my age. There are several issues here.

1 Many Asian guys have plenty of luck in the Phils. Cebu for example is full of South Koreans and many girls prefer them for a variety of reasons. However these guys tend not to signup to an English site such as DIA which consequently attracts mainly girls with a preference for white "americans" (ie westerners).

2 Some girls are racist re skin colour/facial features/size etc not much you can do about that. Other girls are wary about ethnic Chinese because of the sometimes bad attitude or cultural mismatch eg poor language skills/sense of humour etc. If you are an ABC banana as the chinese would say then you need to emphasise that you live/were born in the US and maybe that you combine the best of both cultures.

Of course all this does rather depend on what you are looking for if you are just looking for sex for cash your Pesos are as good as anyone elses and you wiont have many problems. i am assuming that you are looking for some sort of medium term GFE.

3 Stuff about lets be friends is way too wooly. Most of the decent girls really dont want to be a unpaid virtual gf fro a lonely guy in California chatting for months.

4 CB is free for girls and paid for men. That means that the ratios are relatively favourable for guys. Even top girls will just get 20% the number of messages on CB than on DIA, that means they tend to be more proactive and will spend wime messaging and smiling at guys.

5 you should also try tagged.com which is a kind of failed facebook/social site which doubles as a dating site as it allows unlimited free messaging, loads of pics and age/location searching

Yes perhaps but it is always good to have a friend you can fall back on as a first time visitor in a strange city.

I am getting responses to about 9 out of 10 messages I sent out. Some I tell flat out that I am there for just fun. Others I just play along and tell them that we will see what happens.

All of them seem interested and want to meet for whatever.

Actually, I just noticed that 80% of the girls haven't logged on to DIA after I sent my message. So they simply didn't read it yet. That may explain my dismal response rate.

Can some of you share what you normally write in your first message to the girl?

As somebody else said the girls are kind of racist and most are looking for white guys from North America, Europe or Australasia. if that's not you then you probably have to accept a lower run rate.

In terms of photos most guys either dont have any pic or a very poor shot. They will still get plenty of contacts but the risk is that the more popular girls dont bother. A 18-30 year old girl with a half decent profile and a good pic, no kids slim etc will probably get 50-100 messages a day depending how often she logs on so if you want to get her attention you need to stand out somehow. On the other hand the plain janes from the province maybe with a kid or two maybe only get 2 or 3 messages a day and need to be proactive.

If you want to improve you run rate with the higher quality girls try a photo where you are smiling, looking at the camera, not wearing sunglasses etc and if you are white, looking white. they are not looking for Robert De Nero but someone who looks decent and honest.

The next thing to do is to fill out your profile completely and have a short para . be clear and frank as to what you are really looking for and whether you have specific plans to come to the Phils.

On DIA you can largely forget about the girls who initiate contact you as they are invariably either scammers or girls getting 2-3 messages themselves. The high quality attractive girls are getting too swamped to be proactive.

CB is different because it is a pay site so even good quality girls wil be lucky to get 15 messages a day so you are going to get many girls just messaging or winking at you trying to drum up business.

ifv you do have real plans to come to the phils then you should probably start a message with this. Hi I'm Mike from the USA planning my first trip to Phils in August etc etc
