This is the first time I have had a situation where she shows it for free and then subsequently seeks money.

I suppose that each of us must make an individual decision about whether or not to send money, which will depend, on a large extent, to the credibility of the stories told and perhaps on whether one has actually spent time here. Chatting on FH or DIA or other sites is no longer a concern of mine, but when it was, my rule was never, under any circumstances to send money and to assume that all stories were fabrications at worst or at best exaggerations. This is probably overly harsh, since some of the sad tales are probably true. But I guess I've witnessed too much since I've been here, and I now realize that, for many girls, scamming foreigners is a true art form. The practice is so prevalent that for me, it would be impossible to distill the truth from the larger universe of fiction, so I would choose not to believe any of it.

I had a very simillar thing happen to me on FH a few months back.

In my profile I state that I am looking for a GF only when I visit the PI and one day this cute young girl I will call "R" Pm's me on FH looking to chat. I accept her invite and we start to chat. I ask her if she has read my profile and she says no. (Why is it that it seems all the girls do not even bother to read the profiles, sad really but I digress).

She goes off and reads my profile while I wait. R comes back and we continue chatting and I ask her if she was ok with what she read on my profile and if she understood that I was only looking for a GF. R says she is ok and we continue to chat for the next 15 minutes or so then I tell her I have to go. We say goodbye and that was that, or so I thought.

R sends me 4 or 5 emails on FH within the preceding 24 hours each one more excited than the previous one. They all contain things like, "I told my parents about you, they are so happy", "My parents can't wait to meet you", "My mom wants you to come stay at our house when you visit".

It took me a few minutes to put together that she thought I had asked her to become my GF. Which I did not, but I can see how things might have been confusing to her.

I sent her an email in which I clearly stated that we were not BF-GF and that she seemed nice but for her not to get the wrong idea.

A few days later I saw that she was on FH once again and Pm'ed her to explain the mess, but I was shocked by the response. It seems R gave her Mom the ID and password to her FH profile so that her Mom could respond to emails while R was at school. WOW, this I did not expect. So I chatted with her mom and she seemed nice and unphased by the fact her 19yr old daughter was chatting with men twice her age. I thanked her for the offer for me to stay at her house and then she informed me she would tell R that I had something to talk with her about.

I chatted with R that same day and everything got straightened out, but it kind of freaked me out somewhat.

A few days later we chatted again and R accepted the offer to join my YM and R happened to be in a cafe so she turned on the cam and the first thing I see is R, and her Mom standing beside her. Her mom seemed to be telling R what to say and what to do and I just could not help but feel strange.

I have been on FH for the last 5 months, chatted with around one hundred girls from FH with only one outright request for money. She only asked me for cash once I added her to my YM and she gave some form sob-story and I told her that I did not have a credit card. She then asked me to Western Union her the cash, LOL. I told her I could mail it instead and she was all too happy to provide me with an address in Cebu. She asked when I would send the cash. I told her that I would send it soon and that it would depend on the Postal System when the package would arrive. Of course I never sent the money and deleted her from both my FH and YM. I know, I know, bad StrokerAce but this grasshopper has been well schooled by lurking on ISG for awhile and soaking in alot of wisdom passed down from the many members that have been so kind to enlighten the masses.

I have however come across a few working cam girls that had pics on FH that looked too good to be true, very professional lifted pics (just my guess). A few sob chats with girls that mentioned any one of these lines, "my mom is sick, my sister is sick, my dog is sick, my wallet is very sick". LOL. Well you get the point, but they never actually asked for cash, which I considered odd.

But all-in-all a pretty tame and rewarding experience on FH. I did however put several disclaimers in my profile like "No pic=no chat, no women over 35, no ladyboys". That seems to have kept away the scammers.

I do however have a question.

I have had a few requests for "chocolates" when I visit, so this has me scratching my head. What kind of chocolates are they talking about? To me here in North America chocolates are something that comes in a box and has alot of small chocolates inside, but awhile back I remember reading on ISG a few posts about bars of chocolate the PI girls preferred more.

Can someone clear this up and tell me what the chocolate situation is like in the PI? I will be in Bangkok before my trip to the PI in late January and I was just going to pick up a couple of boxes in Bangkok for a few of my favorite FH girls that I will meet, or can I buy the chocolates in the PI and save myself some weight in my bags? Brands and-or bars versus boxes would be good to know.

I rarely get requests like that. Do you have your IM address in your profile, so that anyone can IM you without you screening them?

Normally after I ask them them "how are you" if they answer anything other than good, fine, ect., I politely tell them I have to get back to work because I know a long, boring story it about to be told to me, followed by a money request.

CB is very good in screening out the scamers, but you have to pay for the service and it takes longer to exchange IM information.

After one or two previously hard-learnt experiences of being well conned (exceeded by many fine examples reported by others on this web site) I now have a policy of ignoring/deleting all requests for money and hard-up stories. And I have done that, but still have that sneaking feeling: I wonder if her story is true? Happy New Year!

It is the time for a bit of seasonal goodwill and some of my chat-mates have exposed just a little more of themselves. This is not easy to do in open internet café sessions, but where there is a will there is a way! Apparently it is now hard to find private rooms in internet cafes these days (have they been banned?).

Here are a few random screen captures in recent weeks involving 5 different girls. The quality is mixed; there are some real crappy vid cams out there.
