You are so right about the posting of old (young) photos. Even some of us men mongers may be tempted to do that!

But it is a well made point.

Three extra comments from me: First, the problem is not limited to DateInAsia, it can apply to all pen-friend sites with the postaing of pics.

Second, it is not limited to the Philippines. In fact the Phils is one of the better countries for truth in accuracy of the pic. Most girls cannot afford a professionally done photo. they simply capture a photo off an internet cam and sometimes update it from time to time when they get tired at looking at themselves. The worst country I have experienced is China. Professional photos are taken, against artificial backgrounds, and airbrush and smudge tools are often used to take out the cracks, sags, moles and imperfections.

Always, wherever you can, see the girl on cam, in the flesh as it were. And if need be do a screen capture.

I arrived Friday and called, instead of text and Hello, a man trying to be a woman answered and I just asked for it's girl name and it changed it's voice...too late.

I assume you are using the same pic they have in there profile. If you post a few it would be easy to scan thru them to see if anyone has chatted with them. The good thing about DIA is if you click on a girls picture, it will show all of your past emails with her, so you can easily see what you have said to her in the past.

I also used the " genourous, business man in town for a couple of days looking for a fun girl" profile also to check on some of the girls I met. I was surprised how many will respond to the bad boy profiles.

I'm quite new at this chat thing with DIA. I'd recommend starting the process about 3 weeks before you arrive...if you enjoy the process. You could wait until one week before, but multiple chats over a period of time usually give you a better feeling for the girls personality. The results of a nice guy looking for ltr profile, versus a naughty boy profile are interesting. I set up my favorites from the nice guy profile and sent them a message using the alternate naughty boy profile. I resolved the good girl status of several of them quite quickly. Some nice girls replied affirmately to the naughty profile and other girls passed. So it clarified who was p4p and who was more interested in a real relationship. I also discovered that you can get caught up...consumed..by this chat thing. Will frankly be happy when the philippine trip is over and i can shelve the dia chat stuff.

If anyone is interested in comparing notes on the Manila area gals, don't hesitate to pm me. It's rather difficult to figure out who's likely to be a star performer and who's gonna be the starfish. I arrive on Sept 23 and stay at city garden makati, if anyone wants to get together for a drink.

I don't think my skin crawls, but I do feel uncomfortable with the very fem ones -- the ones who overact a bit. Yuck.

Gay guys know a lot of chicks and they know which chicks are ready for a boink. I treat them fairly (while keeping my distance) and this has allowed me to explore some women I wouldn't have explored otherwise.

I would have to agree with B on this one. After chatting with many Filipinas, and visiting PI a few times, I reallized that gays are very easily accepted in their culture. It's just something we have to get used to, no matter how distateful it is to us. I have to admit that it made my skin crawl everytime one of the ladyboys would be looking me over. (I'm not anywhere close to a sex symbol, so it must have been just the white guy thing!) :)

One encounter that I had with a DIA contact, resulted in her bringing along 2 gay "cousins". She even went to the extreme of asking if they could stay in my hotel room while we had our fun. At the risk of her walking away, I said no! If her mom and sisters, female cousins or female friends wanted to be there for the show (or even join in), I would have no problem with it...maybe. As it turned out, I managed to take her, alone, to the room for some fun. I later found out that a much hotter babe, also from DIA had come there to meet me. Because she saw me with, as she stated, "another girl and her 2 gay cousins," (makes me wonder if it was a setup) she decided to not meet me after all. I had waited 2 days for that one to show up!

Anyhow, no gays are allowed at my meetings anymore. I try to keep from allowing any other parties because of the problems they might cause. I had one girl that brought a baby along, and would not put it down the entire time I was with her. IMHO, one on one meetings are the best way to go! If a girl declines to meet with you without a tag-along, there are plenty of others available.

A followup question is how in hell do you organize things when you get a few hundred shots? I eventually filed things away by location (Manila / Cebu / North Mindanao, etc). But if get an unfamiliar mail from someone, it's much harder to search by name.

Sometimes online gals tell me they are from some place I am unfamiliar with. Searching the location often brings up a Wikipedia listing, which includes a map-like location. I then take a screen shot of the map and file it away under ...um.. maps. I found this to be a great way to learn the geography and also make my questions more specific regarding travel destinations.

My YMessenger is also divided up by location. I got that idea from a Filipina in a net cafe. I glanced over her shoulder and saw she had several European countries listed. I can't imagine why she'd want anything to do with a European, but I was inspired to sort things the same way.

But it's surprising how many addresses I have in the "unknown location" folder. In most cases these ladies encouraged me to "add" them, but when I follow up with a some questions, which include, "what city are you in?", they don't reply. Hmmm.

I can only guess that the really good golddiggers know that when a sucker is hooked, he'll remember everything about the earlier chats. If a guy has to ask "where are you", he's obviously stringing along other gals -- the golddiggers move on to greener pastures.

Damn, how many analogies are in that previous paragraph?

[Cunning Stunt]

I use a nifty little programme called SnagIt. Very simple to use it has a useful crop tool to copy whichever area of your screen you wish to capture and then holds them until you are ready to import them into whatever graphics device you are using (paint, photoshop etc). It also exports its images into word or powerpoint. I also find this latter tool useful for cutting and pasting useful reports from ISG into a word document for use when I'm travelling.
