I've used abc in the past when I was suffering from severe filipina withdrawal but I don't think its a great way to actually meet girls when you're visiting. For most of them its just their job and they want to make money, not meet old (usually fat & unattractive) foreign guys. As for meeting girls I agree that Yahoo chat is a great way to do it, I have met several girls this way. I hang-out in the Japan chat rooms and just wait for one of them to contact me. Yes, at one point I was a premium member but now just standard. I can send up to 10 messages in any given 24 hour period. I don't know if being a former premium member allows me to do this or not.

Sometimes if you are send to the page to upgrade if you click on "home" it will open the profile of the woman you want to contact and you can send a message.

Alternatively, I sometimes just open the instant messaging service and wait for some lovely to contact me there while I am doing other things on the net. Actually I am doing that now. Yes you can. I have, but it took quite a bit of investment before I saw her overthere. Had a great time. She fell in love. I do like her, but not ready to give up the freedom yet.

Thats the GREAT marketing of the internet dating sites. Sure you can join for free but you can't chat with anyone or contact them unless you PAY for the membership. The poor filipinas are all standard non-paying members and the only way to contact a standard member is for you to be a paid member. Pretty smart of the sites the way they hook you into joining for free and then make you pay to contact anyone. That being said I think they are still well worth the memebership.
