Most apts cater for less people in Ctg, I have a friend Mario who regularly caters for larger groups of people, here is his e-mail:

his name is Mark Turner, and I have his number somewhere. But I might also just get in a taxi and do some research that day. I've got the name of four hotels in the area (from a tourist map of Cartagena) but have no idea if they're dumps or secure.

There is some apts for rent on the sea road between the Old City and the airport, I think the guys name is Mike Turner, I can find the link for you if you don't have it.
As to cheap hotels next the airport, I have never explored the streets around there, so I can't help you there.

...I asked you first?
But seriously, I have my reasons. One of them being that I am flying in to Cartagena and turning right around and flying back out. The other reason is that I'm trying to avoid running into someone who might be in the laguito/bocagrande area. Get it?
Ok, your turn!

My buddy and I are arriving to Cartagena on March 1, planning on staying between 1 and 2 weeks. I'm trying to book a hotel right now, but was hoping to get some feedback from you guys. We don't want to spend more than US$50, double room at a safe hotel that is not far from action (pros and non-pros) Hotel has to be girl friendly. There seems to be tons of hotels available, but I've never been to CTG before, and don't want to end up staying in a part of town that is real shady at night and make a mistake of booking a place where the girls will get turned down at the reception.
Thanks in advance.
I also posted this in the "Cartagena" section before.

Posts: 5It is very unusual that Juan did not answer his email. I would try sending him email again. Juan has the best apartments in Laguito so if you want something very nice then email him. Or you could always call him directly. His number is 57-310-363-7974

Posts: 61Need a last minute rental.
I've stayed in the Laguito area in 2005 and 2006 and just made a last minute decision to return next week. January 24. Mery didn't have anything and Juan never replied to my e-mails, so I sent a deposit to reserve an apartment in the El Conquistador, which I know now was a mistake (cockroach haven and not girl-friendly).
If I can get my deposit back, would anyone know who would have a very nice apt. for rent in Laguito at this last minute?
And if I'm forced to stay there, any suggestions on getting a girl in?
Thank you.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Last edited by Admin; 02-04-07 at 07:36.

Sorry, I must have not understood the rules for posting a link to a report here.
This link should be working.
