I don't know about that. I kind of oppose excessively legalistic and punitive measures; we're adults and we ought to be able to resolve issues amongst ourselves without rushing off to the powers that be to impose ever more rules. Leave that behaviour to the feminists.


Let's not forget this is Jackson's site and he's established a framework that he thinks best balances the needs of all, so this ought to be respected. We know he reads the forum so he isn't an absent admin; these issues appear before him and it seems he's OK with how it is.

By and large we don't see many of the problems found elsewhere, but I do understand and appreciate members here wanting to keep a good thing going by keeping the problems away. Westy states correctly there's a rule: No asking for help, post information that is helpful. As it is presently, members remind the violators of it and also inform them that they need to post photos in that thread - these are the majority of problems, I think. In most cases the errant person stops. From time to time we see those who stubbornly persist, but almost always they disappear after a while. In sum, as it is presently the community here has created and maintains a very good and, at times, even an excellent Philippines forum. My thanks to those who put in the effort.

I have learned that it is far better to just click past posts that either don't contain useful information for me or those that don't stick to some "rule".

I prefer to get on with my real life rather than getting upset by someone who violates some rule or other (whether written or otherwise) on a monger's forum FFS.

It's also probably why I only check in on the forum 1 or 2 times each week now and cannot be bothered to post information any more on the open board. I restrict my posts to PMs for those who have genuine requests.
