Many thanks for trying to help revive the Islamabad forum! I'm currently vacationing in the states but will be arriving in ISL for a one year job in late August. If you check my previous posts you'll note I'm coming from Japan. If you haven't played there before you should consider it if the opportunity presents itself to you. Great quality and service in Japan but very pricey at times.

My personal opinion is an ISG subscription is well worth it. I won't speak for others, but I think many guys get a sense of comfort or can make a good connection by sending a pm to a fellow monger. I don't believe pm's are meant to exclude the general public from information, but simply allows for more private and personal exchanges. My advice, go for it; the cost is minimal.

BTW, I am hoping to greatly contribute to the ISL forum after I arrive. In fact, I was given some leading information already. I won't post or share it until after I am able to verify though. No sense in trying to lead others if I don't have first-hand knowledge. Besides, my info could be totally off and I don't want to mislead anyone. In any case, look for more postings from me starting in September if all goes well.

Its sad to see no body contributing. This city is beginning to disappoint me. I did manage to get hold of a few contacts and had one not so great experience as well.

The main issue I face is the lack of information on the GF hotels / guest houses.

Would fellow mongers please shed some light on this and share the list of all such places and their experience.
