IMHO these places are all bark and no bite. They are in the business of intimidating and scamming impressionable people, not in the business of beating people up.

Think about it, that's what they do day in, day out. That means a few foreigners each night will come in. Maybe 5. Maybe 10. Maybe 20. That's tens or hundreds of foreigners a month. How many foreigners do you think they can actually beat up before getting in big trouble with the authorities? Do you think the police or the tourism bureau wants foreigners beaten up on a daily basis? How many times can an ambulance and the cops be called to a venue before it gets shut down?

I've been in a similar situation twice (once in China, once in Thailand) and I just walked out. Nobody tried anything physical. They are more frightened than you are. They put on a tough act but they aren't stupid.

There was a gogo in Phuket, in Patong Beach area, which advertised pussy show, darts, ping pong etc. The place was always full. Once you were in they charged you $10 for a drink. There was never any show. Girls just stood there holding a pole. They'd been in business a long time. Maybe still are. I don't remember the name. Don't underestimate the fear and greed factor. We all know how much Thais care about what farang thinks.

Hi why not shave your self at home and than get a waxing during your stay. So there is no surprise back home you might want to shave a little before leaving so that the assumption you do it for for your trip does not come up.

Why not go for a brazilain wax, plenty of beauty shops offering that to the girls now and would do for men also. No blades, and no stubble after a few days.

Well. It will take quite some time. I put myself the same question, LOL. As the main job was done I have done myself a "front cleaning" after some 4-5 weeks. Past one month after that it is like a 3-4 days of unshaven face. So I would say the shave cannot be unnoticed, unless you see your missus after 6 months, LOL.

The job done at the MP was very detailed and did not left and area unattended, front and back.

Thd more appropriate place is not this forum as what you are asking is not a place to avoid. I get my shave at the MP inside Nana Hotel. Go past reception, the lifts, then to your left. 500b can do the shave. Clarify you want shave down or they let you accommodate on the barber chairs. No food for that job, especially if you are shy. There is a couple of not on their prime, doing the job very well and carefully. Your willy will not be damaged and you will still keep your nuts fully operative after that. You will not even feel the blade doing the job. You will have a baby skin after that. But apparently no extra. At least I did not ask for. There was a report on the BKK forum you can eventually ask for the services of a young lady but that will cost you an additional massage fee and in return you will get a HE and if lucky some rimming. The rule of that MP is nothing more than that. No BJ or more is allowed.

Few years back I was offered unspecified extra services (for 1000 baht) when I went for a regular haircut in Sutthisan road (near Soi 3, Saphan Kwai BTS). However, I didn't try, and never talked to a Farang who did. Not sure if that barber shop is still around.

Yes, lots of haircut services who have special service only HJ like in sukhumvit but this one in Chinatown and I think 2-3 shop together, I saw someone make comment about this, not only HJ, full service but I never tried, full service for thai 300baht, for foreigner 400-500baht. It is same price in chinatown for full service but I exiting about hairdresser place because I not see they have private room.
