The Medellin Mansion vs Club VIP

Thanks for th detail, Papa Mac. As far as what you mention above (numbered items), how does that play out with regard to the Mansion or VIP? Does it affect girls' attitudes when you're taking them back there instead of a different hotel, or affects service, or something else? Just curious since you mentioned it here. I've traveled a bit in the developing world and am pretty good at not being the Ugly American, though I realize in many parts of the world that's the starting assumption the locals make.

I think that telling them you are taking them back to the vip. That raises the price of what they are going to charge. I am guessing this is because they know you have money to spend. But after a while I was wondering if people where getting a cut of the sale. After the second time this jump in price happened, I negotiated the price before telling her where she was going to go. Although, there where a lot of girls that were not familiar with hotel vip, as it is not as popular as the mansion. But, I do believe that the service you receive is definatley worth the increase in price. If the girl has not been to the vip before. Once they see how nice and big the hotel is, it gets them wet and ready.

Of course, the difference between $40 and $50 USD is a big increase for them. Here in the states it is nothing.

I didn't stay at the mansion so I don't know the particulars first hand, but their guests told me it is very similar. At the mansion, I believe there are more girls that are brought there. But, at the vip, you are free to do your own thing, preety much no matter what time it is or how many chicas you have with you or what kind of activities you plan to divulge in. If you can convince chicas to come to the vip with you after a club, then your in a preety good situation. There are chicas that maestro can call for you, the ones I saw were preety decent. Would be hot in america, but decent in Colombia.

One night in particular I remember partying till 8:30 in the a. M. Last chica left at 11:00 a. M.

So I've ticketed my first trip to MDE, very exciting! Only there for a week, but enough to get my, errr, feet wet. ;-)

So next step is choosing accommodations... I was planning to stay in a monger-friendly location for this first visit. Should I stay in just ONE of the Mansion or Club VIP, or split my stay between the two and experience both?

Any opinions from our forum members?

Maybe someone can put together a list of available drivers who are honest and only charge $10USD an hour and would wait during the night time. I only know of a few (4) names and they get snapped up quickly by guests at the Mansion. Last time I was down, Fernando was booked for 3 whole days and could not accept other work. He did not offer to recommend another driver.

I used Fernando 6 nights and he sent another guy on one of his off nights. Ask him and he will send another driver.

Our construction has ended thank God the places looks "wow" we now have five rooms, jaccuzi, two 42inch plasmas in the living areas, pool table and waterfall and brand new entrance.

VIP 1 now has fourteen rooms living area with pool table and another living area very sophisticated with a new paint that they call here "marmolizada" you have to see it, barbecue area with a cascade and nature all around our landscape is fenomenal.

I will be posting pictures of it in the next two days.

You must see it to believe it for all of you who are coming please feel free to stop in and take a look.

I just got back from a brief stay there (again) at VIP 1. The new barbecue area and waterfall area are fantastic. I love taking the chicas on a tour of "mi casa."

I was Marcy's "first" (customer that is). She is a tall stunning American born, Spanish speaking girl. Very friendly and helpful. A great addition to the staff. She was more than willing to provide all sorts of translation help for some other non Spanish speaking guests. Get on her good side and bring her a bottle of red wine.

I've been to Rio about 10 times, Europe and FKKs about 8, and CR about a dozen. I'm not looking for a place that's tourist friendly, I'm looking for a place I can navigate. It doesn't do me any good to have a list of 30 venues if it's impossible or at least difficult and time consuming to get to them. I used the reference of SJO in case you know SJO and can compare them. I'm trying to find out if you go to Loutrons, for instance, and if it's just "ok" how long it is to the next good MP or Casa? Sometimes it's nice to be able to drop in to a few places and check out the girls but maybe that's just not an option in MDE or maybe to see a few places takes most of the afternoon and a lot of traffic gridlock. I don't know, that's why I'm asking.

Is there any map you know of that shows where the different venues are located?

1. You can have a free El Centro tour lead by Castillo Jefe Boyd.

2. You can hire Mansion taxista Fernando to take ou to any of the strip joints and night clubs. He knows them all.

3. Greg can order in at will. Tell him what you want and he'll arrange for chicas of your type to stop by.

4. Robert/Greg can take you clubbing at the best disco's.

5. Take 5 to 7 days if you can to take it all in.

6. True that sex in general Medellin is very tame compared to Rio. However, there will be times when you get memorable sexual adventures not to be missed.

I'm thinking about doing a starter trip to MDE for four or five nights. Is that enough?

Lets say I stay at a place like the Mansion or Castillo. How hard is it to visit the top or most popular MPs, Casas, or nightclubs; Do you have to go taxi from one to the other and does it take a lot of time? In San Jose CR you can hit a bunch of the places near HDR by foot and pretty much know what's available then take a taxi down to Paseo colon then hit the rest if you want.. So it's quite easy and simple. Can you give me an idea how easy and time consuming it is to check out four or five of the typically good MPs and Casas by day and the major clubs at night? I would not enjoy long taxi rides between venues in traffic with cab drivers that didn't seem to know where they were going either.

Metro MDE is around 3.3 million people. If you don't enjoy long taxi rides with drivers that don't know where they are going, don't come here. Taxistas can't read maps, either.

MDE is a big city with things spread out all over the place, from the casas to the discos to everything. You might be better off in CR if you want everything tourist/gringo friendly.

You maybe right Boy but Medellin is the meca of Colombia, I dont want to live anywhere else, well until I purchase a farm anyway !!
When will work start, maybe its a year away, carnt really put a date on it yet but it will be 5 x 5 star rooms, regards.
