Their response to my inquiry:
"We would like to clarify that, after inquiring at our front desk, if your visitor is the only person accompanying you as the guest, we can allow your visitor to share your room without any charges. In such a case, the charge will remain at P1,200.00 per person if multiple visitors are present and if they surpass the designated curfew hours (past 10 pm". ".

Posts: 372I love that hotel. Never had any trouble with getting my multiple GF in a 24 hour period. The reception staff are always so busy, they don't pay close attention to who comes in and out. The Thai restaurant is decent and the bar makes good drinks. I'm staying there in August with my main shorty piece.

A pretty good location but, unless they were renovated during the shutdown the rooms would be getting pretty old by now. I do remember good breakfasts.

Oddly it was the same guest (lady) who had departed and then returned. I was at the lobby guard to escort her up, but they wouldn't allow her to sign in. I informed the guard that the girl would stay for only 5 minutes. "Sorry po. We have 24 hours rule. When a guest will depart, you must wait 24 hours to bring in another guest". Well, I'd never heard of that before, in fact I'd been bringing in this / that lady, easily 2 (or more) in any 24 hour period, with no problems to that point. Not even the same lady? "Sorry po". Later I checked with the residence Admin and they confirmed the un-announced, unheard of '24-hours' rule (which they later changed / dropped, due to not announcing the rule).
In addition, most owners are woefully unaware of restrictions. They make several errors:
1) They are not aware of the building Admin's restrictions (often times not the owner's fault, the Admin simply makes decisions and then notifies: NOBODY). Owner: "Yes you can bring in your guests as you need". Then the guard stops you, using Admin's policy.
2) The owner makes up his own such restrictions (which he can do), then does not tell the renter about them (which is not allowed on airbnb). When the sh*t hits the fan from the angry airbnb renter regarding the owner's un-announced restriction, airbnb will force the owner to stand down on the issue. If you didn't use airbnb, you might be screwed.
3) The owner thinks the Admin's rules are very strict, when in fact Admin might have no such policy at all. "Our building Admin don't allow any guests. Just you and your registered partner sir". This often turns out to be completely wrong; the Admin has no such policy. I heard this from an owner just a few months ago. BTW, those wrong ideas in the owner's head, they didn't just make that up. It was policy a year or more ago, for 2-ish years, during Covid. Many residences here went to harsh lockdown restrictions, such as: No rentals; or no rentals to anyone over age 59 or under 21; or no outside guests. As covid dropped off the radar many of those restrictions were dropped by Admin, who told: Nobody.
You can protect yourself by calling the Residence / Hotel admin before renting to check guest policy. Also look closely at any such language on airbnb. An owner's failure to mention it on airbnb means you can bring in your guests. Again, call the Residence to check before renting.
One last airbnb owner issue: Three times in the last year, owners insisted that I show them my PP picture page (as ID), and also my most recent inbound PP stamp and my most recent / current / valid BI extension. Either before renting, or before extending my rental for another month.
I'm not aware of any hotels with restrictions at this time.

Flight to Manila booked for next month, now just to sort out accommodation.
My initial plan was just to book an airbnb near Makati but after reading through some listings it seems getting guests into the building could be an issue, a number of listings outright say no guests allowed in the building.
Is this common and is it enforced? And is a hotel a much better bet than an Airbnb? Will be working remotely while in Manila so prefer an airbnb for desk + wifi but if no guests I'll go hotel.
